I always fly Delta from Maine to Orlando round trip. The fares are very high this year, so I priced round trip to Tampa. It was less than Orlando. Then I went to the multi city reservations board and priced the trip into Tampa and out of Orlando. It was the cheapest of the three!
By changing one leg of the trip (Portland to Atlanta to Tampa rather than Portland to Atlanta to Orlando) and taking the exact same return flights I saved $96.00 per ticket!
I just wanted to pass this along in case anyone wanted to try this pricing, because it sure was a surprise to me!
