Did you ever have one of those days where you just want to say that you quit. I need to go back to bed and just try to start this day all over again.

It really started last night when I started to feel bad about 5 PM. I went from feeling pretty good and just a little tired to TERRIBLE. In the span of about an hour I developed a 101 degree fever. Well not only did I feel bad but I am now really worried about Nathan. I was hugging and kissing on him just an hour before I started to feel so terrible. I felt so bad that I just took some medicine and went to bed. Thankfully DH took care of Nathan. During the night my fever thankfully broke but I still feel pretty weak.

Then this morning I am of course really worried about Nathan getting sick but so far he appears to be fine. I spent extra time with him this morning so I knew I would be about 5 minutes late to work. Well when I start my drive to work the sky opens up and we have a storm of biblical proportions! I manage to drive slowly and I am about 1/4 of the way to work when I realize that I have forgotten the car seat carrier that I will need when I pick DS up from daycare. So I turn around and head back home in the terrible storm.

I get home and pick up the carrier and I tell DH that the weather is bad so he probably should leave early to take DS to daycare and that he probably should avoid the back roads because they have to be flooded since the main roads are. I get the carrier and I start again driving to work when I shift in my seat and the inseam of my pants rip open! At this point I am about in tears and I have to turn around AGAIN to go home and change.

I finally did get to work by hydroplaning down the interstate. You know the weather is really bad when you are doing 40 on the interstate and you are not getting passed.

Well I just had to get all of that off my chest. I am living in fear of what might happen next!

and it's so early yet! I hope you feel better. Here's also hoping that the rest of the day is bright!

I think I'd have gone back to bed.

I hope the bad things are over and the rest of the day ends up being wonderful!

Have to say it, When it rains, it pours.

{{hugs}}, Becka. I hope the day improves for you. I hope you're feeling better. I think Nathan's a tough little guy, he won't get sick.:)

I really do hope that your day gets better.

Poor thing!

{{{{hugs}}}} to you! Hope your day brightens up!

My goodness! Are you still feeling ill, too?

Sure hope the rest of the day goes better for you :)

Hope the rest of your day is filled with sunshine.:smooth:

If it makes you feel any better, I've been recording attendance at my company for 10 years, and it never fails--when a new mother comes back after maternity leave, she gets sick right away.

I guess it's so stressful that the immune system fails.

I wouldn't worry about Nathan. Little babies seem to have the BEST immune systems. I had pnemonia (sp?) after I had my DD and she didn't even cough or sneeze or show any signs of being sick at all. The hospital kept her over night for obervation and commented on how she must have a strong immune system. All the while I'm thinking "She must have stolen mine becaue it sure did go bye-bye"

And just last week my DD got sick for the FIRST time. She had cought a stomach virus and she was sick and then I started getting sick and I too started worring about my newborn. Guess what? He's still healthy as a horse!

And I think if I were you, that last time I had to turn around to go back home, I would've called in to work and said, "I'm siiiiiiiiiick, I don't think I'm gonna make it into work today." and then go to bed. You're a very brave girl!

You should have just stayed home! Is this your first or second week back after maternity leave? You poor thing!

I hope things get better soon. They have to. I can't imagine what else could go wrong.

Well your day certainly started out interesting! I have had one of those days where I haven't stopped until just a few minutes ago! Hope your day got better!!!
