I need your help please...nothing major....

....I just need to know about savings bonds.

Just curious, how do they work? I finally got mine and I have no idea of knowing when they are going to reach their face value. I'm assuming that if I was to cash one in now, I would only get what they are worth. DF purchased them for me in April of 96.

I hope someone can help.

If it helps I have one for $1000 and two for $200

Take them to the bank, they'll be able to tell you the value. They would start at 1/2 the face and then interest.
