my db and I recently went to a Mexican place where we had a shrimp dish that db loves. He has requested I make it but I can't figure out what's in it. I called the resturant and I beleive he said the name was Shrimp (insert mexican name for shrimp here) Arosa.

The dish was served with a red rice with cheese on top. The shrimp was in a red sauce with mushrooms, green peppers and onions. It was sweet, but not overly sweet.

Thanks!

thank you. I am still searching goggle and every mexican receipe site I can find. It doesn't appear to be the one, but it's a start.

This dish had rice on the side, with the shrimp, mushrooms, green peppers and onions in a broth. It was red colored and was sweet. Could that be saffron they used?

Well, I can't help you with the name but if you find it let us know. That sounds YUMMY.

Was it called this by chance? Asopao de camarones

When I called the resturant it sounded like caramones arosa. Of course I felt stupid enough for calling, the guy spoke Mexican, I spoke English and I couldn'[t ask him to spell it, much less give me the ingredients.

I'm still looking if anyone can help!
