I can never remember it! I lost my retainers (again) (and yes mom, they were in the case), and I can't find them! Since it's the 2nd time, i have to pay $50 each :guilty:

What do you guys do to find stuff?

St. Anthony ALWAYS works for me! Just ask him!

But I don't remember the rhyme! I know, he helped me find my ring once!

here you go

"Good St Anthony, come around,
something lost must be found."

Boy, he has always helped us out. Caroline

I don't know if it's right but I always said "St. Anthony please come around something is lost and cannot be found"

There may be more but that's all I remember. It always works for me. I lost a necklace once for 6 months and I found it after my mom gave me a statue of St. Anthony. The prayer was on the box. I'd have to look for it.

OH MY GOSH! I SWEAR, NOT 10 SECONDS AFTER SAYING THIS I STARTED THINKING, WHAT ABOUT THE EDGE UNDER MY BED, STUFF ALWAYS GETS KICKED UNDER THERE! AND THERE IT WAS! :cool1:

I usually stand in the middle of the room and scream, "St Anthony!!!"

This has always worked for me.

I'm glad you found it.

My mom always made it really simple:

Tony, Tony, look around,
something's lost and must be found! :sunny:

I should teach my fiance that - he's always looking stuff. Maybe it's 'cause his room looks like it's been destroyed by Katrina. Well, not that bad. :p

your in trouble, your mom could be mean :teeth:

We always say "St. Anthony, St. Anthony, please come around. Something is missing and can't be found". We use missing instead of lost b/c if it were lost, it'd mean it was gone for good.

Mysteriously enough, this prayer always works for us. It might not work the same day ... but sure enough, what we're missing always comes up found.

However ... I only use this on "important" things. For example, I'd never pray to St. Anthony to find my magazine. I guess I just don't want to use up my prayer requests!!!!

Good luck! Warmly, Daxx's Wife

Darn right!

Megan, here's a concept for you.... put them in the freaking CASE. I find those things laying around everywhere- bathroom sink, window sill etc.

It's funny I didn't think hardly anyone else knew that prayer. Both I and my children attended St. Anthony's Grammar School and we were always taught

St. Anthony St. Anthony
Please come around
SOmethings lost and can't be found.

It has always worked for us!

You know Robyn - I didn't think too many people knew that prayer either - my mom taught us all that as kids and said it was to be used for very important things - I have taught our five kids...and come to think of it, i'l bet there were lost retainers in those petitions too!! Caroline

Hee. You're daughter does know you. I think she stated in her first post that they were in the case. That comment was addressed specifically to you. :rotfl2:
