do you guys want slow~fast? Did you have a song you sang to him when he was little? How about a jam you would rock out to in the car? I am not one for "traditional/typical" ~ would go with what hit home to my kid and me, and probably upbeat as my son would be hopefully having one of the best days of his life and would be happy as heck

Honestly, Forever Young is the best in my opinion. I never really paid attention to the words until my cousin's husband danced with his mom to it. Now I can't listen to the song without crying. The words are so very true and beautiful for a parent to a child.

Well, don't do what someone else did......we knew the groom and the brides family didn't really care for him (or the mom didn't) so the first song played was, "Every Step you take, I'll be watching you."

My son is getting married next April, I am trying to find something that will not make me a blubbering idiot.

When my daughter got married in 08, she chose " I Loved her First" to dance with her dad. The first time I heard it I knew I would be a mess. I listened to it a million times before the wedding to get over it, it didn't work.
So I am not too hopeful for this dance either.
