Hello I am new here and not too sure how things work, so I am going to just ask my question and if anyone knows I will be oh so happy. I have searched and searched but cannot find out what I want to know:, so here goes....

I simply adore Johnny Depp...Does anyone know if he will be making any live appearances to Disney World Orlando Florida in 2010?? The real reason I want to know is this...My six year old grand daughter Lilly is in love with "Jack Sparrow" and would love to see him in person, and I thought if Johnny were going to be at Disney this summer I could take her to see him. She knows Johnny is an actor and knows most of his characters...of course it would great if Mei-Mei... lol... me would get the chance to see him too.

I doubt if he will be there but they do have Jack Sparrow characters who look just like him and I saw a video where one even sounds like him. By the way we have family who live in your city, have been there many times..

I doubt if he will be there too. To be honest I think if he was there the kids wouldn't have a chance. Us adults would be mobbing him trying to get on his pirate ship.

From what I understand whenever he's been there in the past with his family, it's been pretty much kept under wraps until after he's gone so the family isn't bothered by other guests. He puts great value on his privacy. I don't recall him ever being there actually doing promotion stuff. Does anyone know if he went for promo when the Pirates was re-opened with his character in the ride???
How old's your grandchild? They do have Jack Sparrow characters in the park, and that might be good enough if your grandchild is young.

Edited to add: Just noticed your grandchild is 6. The park character should do the trick. I know when my son was 6 he was a BIG power ranger fan and he was very excited to see the characters in the parade and it was one of the few characters he was willing to stand in line for to meet - this is after he'd been by passing the character lines for a few years because he wasn't interested.

OP, you'd have a better chance of meeting Johnny at one of his movie premieres or other public appearances. He loves his fans, especially the kids, and if he is able to he will always make time for an autograph or to say hello.

There are several fan sites devoted to Johnny, and they are great sources of information about where he will be appearing...movie premieres, award ceremonies, or other such promotion.
