My problem is that I have a co-worker trying to get me to forget my manners and strangle the old bat. Oops, did I say that out loud?
I've got to get in another area or something. I'm working on it, but how do you explain to your boss that you can't stay working for her and not explain what's going on? I have another meeting next week about this. I'm trying to be nice, but I don't want this woman to do this to someone else.

Energize! Good luck on the problem solving.

Why not tell your boss what's going on  ? Is it some thing that he/she could possible help you with, or is your boss part of the problem :( ?

I wanted to deal with it myself and not "tell" on my co-worker. For a long time I thought I was doing something wrong. I've found out that this woman has done this to many people working with her.
She is an older lady and likes to have things her way. I tried to be understanding, but she's done a multitude of things to make working with her imposible.

I completely get that. I'm not the type of person who goes running to my boss ~ I hate when others do that without trying to work things out themselves. The only way I ever talk to her about issues I'm having with a coworker is if someone else complains, and she directly asks me if I'm having problems with the person in question. Considering that she's treated other people poorly, it's possible that your boss is already aware of the issue anyway. Maybe you could just mention it when you have to talk to your boss about something else? That "must be my way" stuff can be really stressful ::yes:: ~ I have a coworker who is exactly the same way. Good luck, I hope things get better

If it were just her way or no way, I could handle that. I grew up in a family that everyone was like that. You ignore them and do what you need to do. Being bossy is easy for me to deal with.

It's all the other things she does. Things I tried to deal with or ignore, but it's affecting my health now and however much I'd like to stay there just to tick her off, I can't.

 sending good vibes your way.

Laurie, something I've learned is if you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change. I hope things work out for you and smooth over.
