I have seen on some campsites were there will be a camper and then behind it they put a pop up on the same sight. Is that legel? Will the Fort Wilderness Police allow that? I'm thinking I would like to try this with a small 5th wheel and a little egg. I know if we get 2 sights the egg will not be close by since it would be cheaper for them to be in a tent site verses paying for a full hook up.
Thanks!

Is it legal? No. (I have called the Fort front desk and asked).

Has it been done before? Yes.

Has the Fort stepped in and made them move? Dunno. It's pretty rare to see it done so I bet so.

Getting two sites close together is no problem. For example, a tent site (as you mention which is a Partial) can be in 1500 and the small 5-er can be in 1600 (a Full hookup). If you link the two sites by putting each others reservation number on the other's ressie, those sites are back-to-back or nearly so. The Fort will put you close to each other.

Easy schmeezy.

Thanks! I know last time we asked to be close but it was anything but close we were in the 1700 loop and they were in the 2000 or 2100. I gues thats what they make golf carts for! lol!

If you have 2 reservations you can have them "linked" when you make them and they will more often than not put us next to each other.

I've seen it done often. Even did it once myself with a teardrop and a MH. No one said anything. We still take a cargo trailer that we put sideways at the back of the site. I know of one user that does the same and has some teens stay in the trailer. Of course everything has to fit in the site. Not sure why Disney would care if it's a tent or pup as long as you don't exceed the 10 person limit.

Yes you can but it has to be a pop-up not a other RV. Pop-up are known as tent camper and not RV's so they fall under having another tent on your site. the rules are you can't have 2 RV on the same site.

The official rule is that you can have one RV (motorhome, travel trailer, popup, etc.) and one tent. Whether or not you could get away with breaking the rule is unknown. At times Disney can be pretty strict about things, at other times, not strict enough.

I do know that I once was meeting family and sharing a site but arriving at a different time (one site, under 10 people, one RV) and before I could even unload the second vehicle at the campsite (which is against the rules as well, unless unloading, which we were) we were asked to move it to the lot. We had been there less than 20 minutes. So...it really depends.

My advice...get two sites and don't worry about it, or take a tent.

I think we are going to get 2 sites but I think this is good info. My cousin has a terdrop and that is what we would put behind my5ver. Were you in a premium site?
Thanks!

:thumbsup2 This is their policy. Do some people get by breaking the rules, yes, but you never know if they will decide to enforce it, and then what would you do? I'd rather play it safe myself, and not be caught with nowhere to go - sometimes there my be empty sites, but busy times, likely not. :goodvibes
