How about taking them the next time you go to Disney? Best way to get what you want!
I respectfully disagree with this idea, unauthorized use of someones copyrighted photos is copyright infringement and is illegal, look on photos right here on the dis just right click on photo you like and save as backround
can anyone find the DIS thread for wallpapers? It may have been on the community board.
Mikeeee
I have only one thing to say for people who are going to be uptight about someone using their photo as their desktop wallpaper.
.
Check the Dis scrapbook board (under Creative Community), Mark Barbieri and others have graciously allowed us to share their photos (for personal use only).

the best thing to do is politely ask the person if they would mind sharing their photo for the purpose you have in mind, many, but not all people on the dis will happilly share with fellow disers
While I understand proper etiquette and think it is wise to ask before using, I think when people post a picture it's because they are proud of it and want to show it off to other Disney fans. I think that most of us are not professionals (maybe I'm wrong), and would not have issue with someone using a picture as a desktop. Legally, I don't know if any laws are broken in setting a desktop with images from the web. If you would like to use it for other puposes then maybe you have an issue. I would like to think that most of us on this site are here to try and show off some great pictures we were fortunate enough to capture.
... and I believe it can even detect them on your hard drive if you are connected to the net..
Well, your entire hard drive is shared by default ("administrative share") and since, by default, XP has a blank administrator password, it doesn't take much to get into anyone's PC! But if you have a router, it's virtually impossible for anyone to get to your PC unless you've specifically configured it to allow one PC to share resources that way - very unlikely.I'm having a hard time believing that. I can accept that a hacker might be able to get through my router's network address translation and my firewall and turn on file sharing for the folders that have my pictures, but I don't believe that anyone is doing this to look for copyright infringing photos.
