Hey everyone! 4 of my friends and I are looking to come to Disney for our senior week, instead of goin on the usual beach trips. None of us are into partying and drinkin so going to the beach seems pointless. We are starting our senior year this fall and are tryin to start looking early! I'm wondering if anyone would have any advice of places to stay at or not stay at. We would love a resort #1 with a nice pool #2 transportation to the parks #3 tickets to the park included in the packages and #4 it's gotta be affordable! We're all working but i mean we're only in high school we don't need amazing amenities just something clean and fun! Any advice would be a great help!!
thanks~jenna :)

Very simply put, you will not be allowed to check in to a WDW resort room unless one of you is 18.

The most affordable on site option is the ALl Star resorts. Genreally speaking packages are not the best way to save money at WDW. Park transportation is provided by all WDW resorts.

With five of you, you will ned two rooms. They do not offer rollaways at the All Stars. You could look into the Coronado Springs Resort, it will be about $50 per night more, but they offer rollaways. That would probably be the least expensive on site room option.

Maybe you should visit the budget boards for more info on cost cutting.

I have never stayed at any of Disney All-Star resorts but many people love them. If you split the cost four ways it should be very affordable. We usually stay at their moderate resorts and using codes for better rates the moderates are usually less than $100.00 per night with tax. I would think you could get an All-Star (Disney Value resort) for less than $75.00 per night.

Check mousesavers.com for discount codes.

The pools at the All Stars are not that fancy. If you go to Port Orleans you get beautiful pools and hot tubs. Only four to a room at All Stars. My favorite is Port Orleans Riverside.

Having the five of you poses a problem. You would need two rooms at the All Stars. The pools are ...fun ... but more cartoony oriented. If one of you is fairly small one could sleep on the trundle at POR. The pool there is nice enough and the quiet pools are pretty. Coronado Springs would be a great choice if you can get a rollaway. The Main pool is great and has a nice long slide. The quiet pools are quiet and pretty.
If you can find a discount you could stay in one of the deluxes with a day bed.
Still two rooms at the All Stars would give you two bathrooms.

I would go for two room at one of the All Stars. Two bathrooms is a necessity, the food courts are good, the bus service is execellent and the price for two rooms would be just slightly more than one room at a moderate. You could ask for connecting rooms if you want them as well. The pools are large, but there isn;t a hot tub. Defintiely buy the passes seperately, and if you get hopper plus passes, you could have access to a water park. I think they are nice hotels for someone in your age group and are the most affordable onsite hotels, they are also nicer than some of the offsite hotels that charge the same price. They fit all of your prerequisites too! Again, buy the tickets seperately- packages can be a rip off!

I would stay at the ASMusic (maybe the Music theme would not seem as kiddy). The room rate would cover two of you and the extra person would be $10 more per night. You will still come out pretty cheap and you might want to find a sixth to go, just so everything comes out even. Buy the passes separately! Don't forget at least one character meal and keep reading these boards for planning help. Also, wdwig.com is awesome and mousesavers.com. When you book ask for "connecting rooms".

When I stayed at ASMusic, I noticed there seemed to be a large number of High School and College-aged kids there. I kept thinking "This is the type of place my sons [19&22] would come to with their friends, sitting around the dorm deciding how best to afford a trip to WDW,"-it seems to attract a lot of those kids. And the pool by the Calypso Area looked like they were having fun!

Add my vote to the All Star Music, 2 rooms, 2 bathrooms, 4 beds, more comfortable for all!
