I am looking for a few new places to try when we use the dining plan in September. I have a few choices already, but want reviews on a few more. The following are options on my list. Can you just say yay or nay next to each one for me? I don't need long reviews, just some brief input from my trusted dis members.

Chefs De France
L'Originale Alfredo di Roma
Rose and Crown
Capn Jacks
Wolfgang Puck

I am trying to narrow down my choices for my TS credits. I am not looking for additional restaurants to add to my list, just reviews on these ones. Oh, by the way, this is for a party of 7 including 3 children. Thanks so much in advance.

We ate at Chefs de Paris last year on the dining plan. The staff didn't know how to handle the dining plan and they rushed us through our meal. The Bistro is wonderful and we have eaten there twice.

I personally haven't eaten at Chef de France but my boss was there and raved about it.

I've eaten Alfredo's several times and we've always had a good meal.

Sorry - but never ate at the other three.

We ate at Rose and Crown and Alfredos while we were on the dining plan. Both are good choices. At Rose and Crown, the British Pub atmosphere is fun and you get a special place to watch Illuminations from the deck, even if you are not seated outdoors. Food is good, although there are limited choices. We enjoyed the steak dish and the bangars and mash. Alfredos was a bit quirky on the dining plan. We watned to order 2 Alfredo appetizers, but they made us use it for 3 because 3 of us were on the plan. But food was quite good and service friendly. Certain nights there is entertainment, so you might want to shoot for that. Chefs de France is hit or miss. We've had some good meals there and some not very good. The atmosphere is quite lovely, but I am not keen on the food.

We ate at Capt Jacks last year during the free dining and we are planning on going back this Sept. The crab cake appitizer was really good as was the twin lobster tails. We are looking forward to going there again.

Yes to Alfredo's and Chefs de France. Ate at both recently. Haven't tried the others.

Chefs De France - Would pass on this one. We ate there and, while the french onion soup was wonderful, my chicken dish was not good. Too pricey for the food to not be good.

L'Originale Alfredo di Roma - Wonderful. We ate there earlier this month, and the food was excellent. Prices were high....it about killed me when my DD11 and DD12 ordered the Fettucine Alfredo and it was $37...ARGG. We should have split a meal for them, as neither finished the huge portion of pasta. The food was very good though (and a child's menu was available for the younger ones).

Rose and Crown - never eaten here

Capn Jacks - never eaten here

Wolfgang Puck - We ate at the cafe and food was very good. Kids really enjoyed it.

Yes to Wolfgang Pucks, love the variety of the menu, large portions, and yummy food, never had a bad thing to eat,

Thanks so much for all your responses. I would love to have anymore if you want to give them.

Chefs De France - ate there for the first time 3 weeks ago .. very good .. great service .. nice airy bright place

L'Originale Alfredo di Roma - have only eaten there once and it is on a evry short list of places we will not return. The food was bad, service worse and the tables way too close together for us.

Rose and Crown - we eat there often and enjoy it a great deal. The food is good as is the service.

Capn Jacks - never been

Wolfgang Puck - never been to the one at WDW, but the one here is not that great, so we have picked other places

L'Originale Alfredo di Roma- to me it's too crowded and noisy, you barely have space between the tables, and I can remember last time not liking the food that I ordered at all.

The Rose and Crown is very good. The food and service were great when we were there in April.
We've also eaten twice at Wolfgang Puck's Cafe and the food was great both times.

Chefs de France: Gets and A! Best French Onion Soup anywhere. Great atmosphere. The desserts are to DIE FOR!!

Wolfgang Puck's: A-,Great sushi, but always very crowded. We also eat at the Express restaurant, which is counter serve. Very good food and a good value.

Rose and Crown: B+, Good fish and chips. Ask for a table outside. Great view from the patio. Good beer. here's a food pic for you.

This is what my wife had and she enjoyed it. I forget the name, but it was a salmon sandwich, chowder and hot potato salad.

We've been to 4 of 5, although we haven't been to a couple for a few years...

Chef's: We enjoy this one, making it a "semi-regular" for us. The food is good, atmosphere fun, etc. The only negative is the craziness that occurs while waiting for your table. Overall: B

Alfredo's: Average Italian food at best. Could be so much better than what it is, but worth a try if you've never been here. We last ate here about 5 years ago. Overall: C-

Rose & Crown: Same thing as Alfredo's. Almost average, unless you score one of the outside tables for Illuminations. We last ate here about 5 years ago. Overall: D+

Capn' Jacks: Never had the pleasure

Pucks: Good food. We use Pucks as a fall-back plan every year in case something changes or goes wrong (and something usually does). Try the upstairs dining for a top-notch meal. Downstairs: B Upstairs: A

Good Luck!

Alfredo's - Yes ... one of our favorites.

Pucks - We went to the express and walked out ... too many restrictions on the DDP and they were very rude (the only time we experienced rudeness about the DDP)
I'm not sure if that indicates anything about the full serve or not.

We ate at Alfredos on the dining plan last year. The tables were too close together for our liking. The restaurant was very noisy. The service wasn't that good with orders and sides reversed for our party. The wait staff seemed rushed and harried. The food itself was OK, but not spectacular. With all the other choices at Epcot we have chosen not to go back.

We have not tried any of the other 4 restaurants on your list as of yet.
