I need new bath towels

My towels and wash clothes are getting pretty old and I am looking to replace them with some nice(but not too expensive) towels. Anyone have any recommendations for towels or anyone have towels they would not recommend. Thanks!

I'm going to second the JCPenney towels. They are awesome and hold up. I have some towels from Kohls as well but I don't like them nearly as well. I've got some JCP gift cards that I got from Mypoints that I'm going to use to buy more towels for my guest bathroom tomorrow!

Three years ago, I bought the FieldCrest towels from Target. They are nice, heavy "department store" towels. They have not faded at all. They put them on sale every month or so.

I will buy them again when needed.

Costco has excellent towels. Mine recently stopped carrying them (or maybe they were out of stock) but if yours has them, they are great.

Also, I found really nice towels at TJ Maxx.

I second the TJ Maxx towels! It can be hit or miss on colors and quality but you can't beat the prices!!

for the price I like the Big Ones that Kohls sells. When they are on sale you can get them sometimes for $2.50 a towel!

I just redid my bathroom and got new towels. Mine are Apt 9 brand from Kohls!! I love them, and a lot of the time, they are 50% off.

I was going to recommend Kohl's as well. Although I have not gotten towels from JCPenny, I like their things and they are good quality, so I would look there as well. I tell you, expensive doesn't always equate to quality. I splurged on towels from Pottery Barn a few years back and they were really expensive, even on sale, and they have been the least favorite towels I have ever had. They became very rough, not soft at all, even with fabric softener and they were made in Turkey and had an odor to them no matter how much I washed them.
I've also gotten towels at Marshall's 16 years ago and they are still in great condition and are wonderful!

Either Kohls or Costco have some nice towels. I love Costco's - they are very soft, thick and last very well with washings.

I found that certain colors of JC Penney towels faded very quickly. The towels did hold up well otherwise, though.

We've been buying microcotten towels at Kohl's - I think they are Laura Ashley. The are very soft, dry quickly and aren't too expensive - especially when they are on sale. You can usually buy them at 40% or 50% off.
