We just got back from a 7 night trip to WDW. Stayed at the Poly (first time there!). We had soooooo much fun and the Poly is our new favorite resort. It was our first time going in Feb. I will say I didn't like the time of year. I like it warmer - sorry...I know you think I'm crazy but when I'm in FL I don't want to wear sweatshirts at night. The weather would be good one day, and yucky the next. But I digress....

Here's my problem. I can't "get over it." Meaning, I'm so obsessed...want to go back so bad I can't stand it. DH feels the same. We're still going on and on about our trip. I've got vacation planning videos galore and we can't bare to watch them because we're afraid it'll make us "Disney-sick" (as opposed to home sick). We haven't developed our pictures yet...been too busy. Our first thought was to start planning the next trip and perhaps that would ease the pain. The problem with that is we're both self- employed so we usually can't plan out that far...we usually do the actual planning about 2 to 3 months prior. We have tentative dates (7/10-7/19).

If anyone out there is as bad as me, and I suspect you are or you wouldn't be on the DIS, let me ask you how you get through waiting until the next trip. I'm afraid I'll do something crazy and use the AP's as an excuse to hop on a plane one weekend and go on down.

Maybe there's a pill for this...

I spent 2 weeks in the World over Christmas and about 24hrs after getting back I was ready to be back in the world....I'm "Disney-sick" also...

I have a definate trip planned for early December next year....It's the longest I've ever had to wait....It's killing me...

What I've been doing is trying to figure out how to afford another trip prior....I keep looking at room specials, airfare....then my bank account....No luck yet but I'm not giving up yet....

Good luck...

I read and obsessively plan my next trip. I have the Passporter and Birnbaums books on WDW. I go online and check prices for all different time frames. Sometimes I get very carried away.

I know how you feel. My daughter (10) actually gets tired of me talking about it.

I know just how you feel. We were last in WDW February, 2003 and won't be able to go again until June (hopefully). While our February trip was fun we all really prefer to go when it is hot. I guess my family is a little strange. Every time we go my husband tells me to go all out with the planning because this will be the last trip for a few years. We always plan the next trip on the way home:rolleyes: I can't stand the wait. It's driving me crazy!! Are we there yet? Are we there yet?

I bought ownership in the Disney Vacation Club, this allows me to plan and obsess all year, and maybe even get 2 trips down to WDW during a year.

Last night I was reading the Winter and Spring issues of Disney Magazine (just got them both yesterday- new subscriber) and my dh said to me- "You need help. You don't care about anything but Disney" Maybe I need a new husband... Mickey and Minnie aren't hitched, wonder if he'd be interested!:earseek: Move over Nomar- I'm after the Mouse!;)

Don't worry. From NC you can leave early driving and be at WDW for checkin time :sunny:

With your annual pass it will be really inexpensive and you can make it a long weekend

On the last day of every trip I begin planning the next. I actually get tears in my eyes when that plane takes off. DH pretends not to notice, but I know he knows ;) . Anyhow, I think the best cure is to start planning the next. Even if it's awhile out, at least you're still getting to enjoy the fun of planning another one!!

I'm always obsessively planning a trip to WDW!! Dh actually suggested DVC last fall, so we bought that. Now, we can get there maybe twice a year. He does think I get too 'into' it tho. So, I come here, where my obsession is understood. Is it a 'sickness'? Yep, and it hurts sooooo good.

As we say in NC, thanks "ya'll". I needed to know that I'm not alone. Deep down I knew it, but I thoroughly enjoyed these posts.

I haven't been obsessing the last couple of days because I've been so busy at work. I'm sure I'll pick up on the obsessing this weekend.

Anyone else want to confess?

Hey - one of you had a great idea. Since I live in NC I could get up early and be there for check-in. Hmmmm...I gotta' think about a long weekend.

I go to DisneyLand once a year and Disney World 2 times a year . I have not figured out how on earth to get over wanting that next Disney Fix . When you get it figured out let me know I will be over here behind that chair rocking back and forth while clutching my Mickey Ears .

Wishing you a Disney night

Oh honey, you surely are not alone. I sometimes think I'm going nuts thinking about our next trip. But I do love it, its so fun. I drive my family crazy talking about it, but they know me, I just can't help it. We joined the DVC too, but can go once a year or so, still gotta think about all the other expenses. We just got back a month ago, and I agree with you about the weather. We had swimming weather every afternoon, but the mornings and evenings were chilly. But most of all, I hated coming back to Boston to snow and ice, I really hated that. If I buy tshirts at Disney, I want to wear them!
Anyway, obsess away. We join you in the fight. :D

I'm still not over our trip and it was in early December. I was so depressed when we got home. I would and still do look at our pictures and all I keep thinking is that I want to be there right now!!! We talk Disney every single day!

I'm hoping to make another trip there as soon as I can. Unfortunately I think we'll have to wait a year! Oh No!!:(

You're not alone! DH and I are BOTH ... ummm... obsessed? Well, maybe not obsessed... I'm not sure how to describe it, but we've actually talked about moving there. We have no idea how we could... you know, we'd need jobs, a place to live, etc!! Maybe one day.....?? :goodvibes

::yes:: :teeth:
