I need help...

I don't see a problem either. I think it's perfectly natural to want to spend every waking moment reading, writing or thinking about Disney! DH and DKs can take care of themselves! Seriously, I feel exactly the same way. The only thing worse than having to wait 4 months to go is not having a trip in the planning stages! I've been going crazy since our trip in December, but now that we booked a free dining trip, I can get back into the planning and anticipation. I know what you mean about it being over so fast. I always start to get a little depressed towards the end of our trip because its almost over. And no, I don't think your the only 30-something mother that cries when you leave Disney! Don't worry, 4 months will probably go by fast - especially that last month when you really have to start getting things ready. Just maybe every once in a while, try to do a load of laundry or dishes or maybe make a dinner here and there. Everything will be fine - just know you are not alone!

ok i TOTALLY understand what you guys are going through... I'm in a different situation though.. maybe this will help... We just got BACK from Disney World and all i can think about is going BACK!!! i ask everyone to see if i can find someone to go back with me... so far no luck :(
Now that my trip is over i think the best part is the anticipation of the trip... the I'm going to disney world in 123 hours... and yes i was counting Hours, min, sec, till i left!!!! i was packed like 3 weeks before we left, and had a crazy amount of lists all over th place... i didn't want to forget anything!
Now it's done, and i'm depressed! lol It gets worse when you see people on here talking about how they are leaving and where they are staying. I've been told to step away from the DIS boards because i am on them way to much and it keeps me thinking of DW but i can't ... I am addicted!! i can't help it!!
So when you think your going crazy because you want to go, just think... Soon it will all be over... Its not a pretty place to go!!! lol

This is what I'm afraid of!!! :scared1: :faint:

Don't feel bad...My boyfriend has been forced to sit down and look at all the pictures that people have posted here from their trips...I sent out an email to a bunch of people with the posts from DISers about the funniest things they saw/heard at Disney....I spend 7 hours a day at work and have actually logged more time this board then in my work-related program. :sad2: I'm obsessed too! I have a countdown going on my work calendar...and I have a dry-erase board outside my room at home and everyday I write how many days are left! I'm always searching for Disney secrets, and I've already bought my scrapbook AND the supplies I will need to make my book when we get back!

In the words of Darth Vader, "It is too late for me." To paraphrase Yoda, "Once you start downt the [Disney] path, forever will it dominate your destiny, consume you it will."

Maybe I can help  NOT!! I haven't ever even been yet and already I am obsessed, family is soooo tired of hearing about Disney, hubby said I love disney more than him, boo hoo, don't really have time to make him feel better right now, I'm busy on the DIS boards. I am already worried about leaving, I am actually jealous of people who are going after me because I know my trip will be over and they will be enjoying theirs. How crazy is that? Maybe we should start some DA meetings, similar to AA!
"Hi, my name is Michelle AKA.magicmirror and I have a problem, I am addicted to DIS boards, thats not the problem, the trouble is I have no desire to stop!!!!, DIS OR DIE, or better yet DIS for President!" :cool1:

At least we all have a "special" place to gather.
I take care of my nieces little boy while she works. He just turned 1. On the days that I have him I plan my day around it. I make sure I'm up extra early to DIS before he gets here and when he leaves I'm back on the DIS. I am usually on in the early mornings and late nights while my family sleeps to get in some good uninterupted DISING!
But look at it this way we are all headed in the right direction. Isn't one of the 12 steps to first admit you have a problem...
My name is Nicole aka wdwholic1206 and I'm a Disneyhoilc!!!!
Welcome everyone!

hubby said I love disney more than him,

Reminds me of another diser who told her daughters that she loved Disney more than them and they cried...lol. She meant that she loved Disney more than they loved Disney. I thought that was a cute story and have told my whole family about it...lol.

Loved Disney more than them .... oh that is sooo funny.

I don't think DH would ask me if I loved Disney more than him cause he might be very afraid ....!! (just kidding - I love them both the same - no favorites :teeth: )

"Hello, my name is SnwFlkCts and I am a DISAHOLIC --"

(Snowflake Cat -- stands for the white cat who owns me and his brother is the "S" on Cats!) ... and they can't figure out what I am doing at this little machine typing away! ... all the time ... throwing food their way on occasion and that perpetual scooping I do .... only cause the litter box is in the computer room and I couldn't stand it otherwise ...

anyway ... less about me and more about DIS!! :teeth:

I suggest that before you go to WDW, you need to take a vacation ;)

Sorry, I'm no help. I just got back from Disney last month. When the free dinner came up we decided to plan a family trip. We couldn't all pick a date so my 3 daugters and I are going end of Sept. My married dd felt so bad that her dh couldn't come that I said I would go back with them mid August with my ds (he was with me in March). My husband doesn't care he would rather be hunting or fishing. So I reasoned I took his place so cost was the same. Then my grown brother who is a slow learner on ss wanted to go. I was going to send him by himself but my mom was worried about him. The ansewer- I'll take him over labor day. He & my mom are paying for my whole trip because I am his tour guide. Hopefully I will get my fix, but I doubt it. So I am no help to you. Disney just sucks you in. But what a wonderful way to go.

I recommend a bad trip to WDW. (Can you really have one of those? Yes!)
Set your expectations too high and watch them not be fulfilled, follow-up with a pout session while still at WDW. You will be so glad to be home, you might not even Dis for a month!

Hey, I did this. I lasted about a month before I went back to same old, same old on the Dis. The next trip to WDW was awesome, and so have all the trips been since that one.

Other than that, I have no help for you. I listen to WDW music, watch the Disney Channel, and visit here too much. By the way, watch High School Musical when you can, it rocks!

My 7 year old daughter has already memorized the dance..."We're all in this together..."

Well, get your groove on, and join her. I make my 11 year old DD look really good when I try to dance to High School Musical. :rotfl2:

ITA! When we came back from our trip last Sept. I couldn't stand being on the DIS very long because I'd get so depressed that we didn't have a trip to plan. Now that we are also going back with Free Dining I feel like I'm part of the club again!!! (I guess that would be the Mickey Mouse Club,eh? :rotfl: )

I think all of you "Disholics" need to get a board started to help you get through your days. You and my DH can decide who should lead the meetings.

My suggestion is to start scrapbooking. Get your books ready for your trip. If you have an Archivers close by they have some great Disney stuff.

Good luck
