Good Morning!

I am going to WDW Jan 15th - 17th with my wonderful bf. His birthday is in Dec and are 3 year anniversary is in Feb! So I want to make this trip very special!

We are both still in college and struggling a bit , but I have saved up enough money to splurge a little. This will be the first time I go with just me and him and I want this to be as special as it could be.

Any suggestions on what to do on a budget?

We are both kids at heart and already plan on eating at T-rex and Sci-fi. We would like to eat somewhere fancy-er but with disney prices, IDK if that's possible lol

We got a great price to stay at AKV, so Idk if their are things their that could classify as "romantic"

Thanks for the help in advance~!!

My boyfriend and I just had our first trip together in Disney in March. I, too, am still in college, but I bought him a nice dinner in Epcot for his birthday. It was really tasty. :) So I would suggest splurging on one meal. If anything, try packing your own food for your trip. The AKV should have refrigerators, so definitely pack your own lunch to bring into the park. That will save you a lot of money. And if you can't afford "fancy," instead pick "awesome," or a character dinner. :goodvibes

As for more suggestion, Lurkyloo made a very nice list of fun/romantic things to do in Disney for another thread, here it is:

I personally like the horse drawn carriage ride. :lovestruc

Glad to hear you are going to the world soon! Me and boyfriend just went in August together for our 3 year anniversary and had a great time. Im also in college and understand about needing to save your money!

Anyway, the most romantic thing for me at disney world is free! At night if you go to Disney's Boardwalk it is very romantic to me. My favorite thing to do is just to sit on a bench in front of the yacht club resort and just look over at the boardwalk and talk to DBF. Also taking a walk around the boardwalk hand in hand is great too! I don't know why but it always feels so magical to me and if you time it right you can see the illuminations fireworks from epcot.

Also, the Wishes fireworks at MK is very romantic to me if you can find a semi-private place to watch them or maybe watch from one of the resort beaches or something.

Is it worth to get a restaurant that has a view of illuminations?

or should we find a spot?

This is so stressful! lol

He told me that anything I plan will be great, which makes it even more difficult cause I want to blow his socks off with the best present ever!

You think If I told the cast members at AKV that it is our anniversary or his bday they might be able to do something ?

I think watching Illuminations outside is best and finding a spot.
I am also in college and money is definitely tight. My BF and I went to Disney in May and I paid for our hotel, we just stayed at POP this trip so then I could splurge a little bit on food, etc. We ended up going to Crystal Palace for character breakfast, which we honestly love. SOunds silly for a couple of college kids to love the Pooh breakfast but we do. In Epcot we ate in the UK and that was great, but one of our favorites is Teppan Edo. I would have to say though pack breakfast foods because that will be a big savings. We packed cereal and used refillable mugs for coffee, etc. We also just usually had snacks and one TS meal a day. Sorry for rambling on haha! But don't stress believe me once you are there it will be romantic and you will find many wonderful things to do!

My boyfriend made reservations for our next trip to go here as an early graduation dinner! I think, when you are in college, you can truly appreciate the epicness of Winnie the Pooh and his posse. :rotfl:
