I have a friend who gets all kinds of deals since she goes every year
My mom and I would like to go anytime after 2nd week in SEPT-Oct,
we would also like to have a spa day. Where is the nicest to stay at a reasonable price 5-7 days. I have been to Epcot, Animal Kingdom, MGM, Magic Kingdom. mymom hasn't been to the dis. I figured 2 days at epcot and animal kingdom, don't want to overwhelm her
ANY INFO appreciated room prices and hotel, airfair, passes etc
thanks-rabbitcentral

I would suggest purchasing a Passporter. It's a comprehensive overview of every single resort, park, and restaurant . You'll find prices, suggestions on best times to go, touring plans, restaurant reviews and suggestions...everything.

It will be all the information you are looking for in one place. I buy a Passporter every year. I can't plan without it!!

you can find it at any bookstore, or online at Amazon.com OR at Passporter.com

Good luck!!:thumbsup2

Also, check out AllEarsNet. This website has awesome information on the parks and the resorts.

For your spa day, check out the following websites:
Niki Bryan Spa -> this is the spa at SSR, GF, and various other resorts

Mandara Spa -> This is the spa at the Swan/Dolphin.

Also, I second CampbellScot's recommendation. Pick up a good guide book. The Passporter is good as is the Unofficial Guide.

To pick your resort, I would check out the prices either on AllEarsNet or the Disney website. If you are a AAA member, then you may be able to get a discount depending upon availability.

a peek at wdwinfo.com and requesting quotes from Dreamsunlimtedtravel.com might help... basically what you are asking for is the stuff travel agents do.

Ultimately the best planner for your trip is you, so some research is gonna help. A list of must do stuff vs. wanna do stuff helps.

You can watch Mousesavers.com. They will often post all of the discounts available. Send off for a Disney planning guide and also register for their website. This will get you email and snailmail addressess in their system and you may receive an offer that way. Watch for an Annual Pass discount; one year we got 40% off our room with the purchase of one Annual Pass.

Finally, for the last two years during September Disney's big promotion has been free dining if you pay rack rate for your room and buy tickets. They will probably offer it this year.

I hope this helps.

Hi and welcome!

This may help you get started: http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1715551

For quick rundown on resorts: there are 3 basic categories: Value, Moderate and Deluxe. Only you and your mom can decide which ameneties you really want. If you take a look at the fact sheets at www.allears.net it may help you narrow down your resort options.

If you're thinking of September, there's always the possibility that it will be free dining again this year. As far as I know, that promo was announced last April, so that may sway your choices of dates. You could always book now and then add on the dining package if and when the promotion comes out.

I would check mousesavers everyday and dreams unlimted which is a travel agency. They saved over one thousand for six nights/seven days at the Polynesian resort. As for resorts to stay at I would check out the Animal Kingdom Lodge. I have stayed there two time already and it is a great resort!!
Good Luck with your planning!!:)
