We are going to Florida in April and I need some advice. We have been to Disney 7 times and Universal once so far. I am torn as to which park to do. Last year when we went, we only had time for one park and did Magic Kingdom only. Haven't been to Epcot, MGM or Animal for 3 years. Here are the arguments. We will be there the week before Easter, a very busy time from what I am told. (we usally go in Feb, first time for us in April) Universal may not be as busy as Disney??? Universal has the new Mummy ride, but not a lot else to do there. We only needed 2 days to do both parks last time, but they do have a special buy 2 days get 1 free so we can go back and redo a couple rides if we want.
Disney has Everest and the Mars ride at Epcot, haven't done either yet. But the crowds, are they really going to be as bad as I am told? I have 4 boys and 2 want to do Disney and 2 want to do Universal, so it is up to me to choose. Hubby could care less, just wants to go on vacation! :)
We are staying in Sarasota so we have an hour drive each day we go, but as for the crowds I will go to parks that do not have resort perks on that day to hopefully cut down on crowds.
I know this is long winded, but really need some advice.

thanks!!
Tracy

Is doing both a possibility? We don't care for Universal at all, so we never go. But if your kids are split on what to do, maybe you could split the time between the two parks. And maybe money will start growing on trees.

boy I wish! Hubby doesn't care for parks, would rather sit on the beach all 10 days so I will only be able to get him to one place. If we do disney, I will do magic alone with my 2 youngest while hubby and my 2 oldest hit the Gulf. He will do not more than 3 days of park and they need to be every other day......can you say spoiled???? :)

So I am back to deciding what to do. I have to drive 1hr 45min each way to the park since our condo is in Sarasota. We did the resort last year, but I don't want to spend that kind of money this year.

oh well, still deciding.....

Can I just say that my favorite park in Orlando is EPCOT?! It has everything you need from a park. You have thrills, rides for the kids and education.

Thrills -
Soarin' The best ride there in my opinion!!
Mission Space
Test Track

Kid rides -
Universe of Energy
Journey Into Imagination
Spaceship Earth
Turtle Talk with Crush at the Living Seas

Education -
Everything!!!

Plus, don't forget about the countries. For some of us, this is as close as we will ever get to visiting a foreign country. What an awesome way to learn about so many other people's culture! I could do a whole week in EPCOT without ever stepping into another park ad have the time of my life.
