I want to purchase the new discounted MYW package for a trip in December. My idea was to purchase the package including resort stay, myw tickets and dining on the YQE package. I was told twice, once by the reservationist and once by the person at the AP hotline, that since this ticket is part of the package, I cannot upgrade this ticket to an AP since it was part of a package, EVEN if I check in, get the tickets and go straight to guest relations and try to purchase the upgrade! I know from reading these boards that this must be wrong! However, I can afford to buy tickets for this trip and turn around and buy more for my trip in May and next thanksgiving! Help!! I need GoldenOldie!

Hi Tammy. Sorry for the delay but weekends are sometimes hectic here.

I am sure you have seen the many posts from people who booked the free dining package that had to have a ticket included and who went and upgraded that ticket to a longer/higher/more options ticket or AP. It absolutely can be done.

Part of the problem with the CMs you got may be that until this year, it could not be done. Perhaps they think that is still true.

Bottom line is you will have no problem upgrading those tickets at Guest Relations (remember that to upgrade to AP you cannot do it at your resort).

Thanks for the info! I knew you would come through for me! I just wasn't going to feel good about it until I heard it directly from you. I know they are telling other people this same misinformation.
