I posted this Disney World video a month or so ago and I mentioned my media teachers didn't like it, so I'm turning it into a documentary about 50 years of Disney Theme Parks. Now I really need everybody to help me!!! :goodvibes

What I need you to do is tell me your favourite WDW memory. Something like...

"Standing on the Liberty Sqaure bridge watching the fireworks."

"Watching my daughter meet Cinderella for the first time."

"Riding Pirates of the Caribbean all day!" :rotfl2:

If you can spare a minute to do that for me I will be soooo grateful! You'll really be helping me out. I don't expect I'll be able to use more than about 10, but I'm hoping to have lots to choose from.

One more thing, if you have a nice picture of yourself at WDW that you wouldn't mind being shown alongside your comment, that would be great!!! :teeth:

Thanks very much! :grouphug:

We have taken our Children to Disney since they were small, when my daughter turned 18, we made Surprise Dinner Reservations for Cinderella's castle at the time the fireworks were going off... It was a very special time and a memory she talks about alot..

good luck on the project..

So many memories!! But the one that really stands out was on our first trip when my son was 6.

We were riding the boat back to TTC... it was nearly empty, maybe 3 or 4 other families. Suddenly out of no where Pluto appeared! Just Pluto... if he had a handler we didn't notice. He started interacting with my DS and since there were no kids around he stayed with us for most of the crossing. This was fairly early in our trip and DS had not met many characters yet so he was quite in awe. Pluto was so great, he danced & laughed... it was such a special time.
To this day Pluto is my son's favorite!

If I can find the pictures I'll post it later today.
Good luck on your project!

the first time i went to disneyland, me and my dad got stuck in fantasyland. i couldn't figure out how to get to the other lands!

my favourite memory....going on big thunder mountian for the first time

Our one and only family trip to Disney World, to celebrate my wife's, Marie, remission from breast cancer. Here we all are on our Illuminations cruise, cake and all, in early December '99...........

Never been to WDW. :(
wish I could help!
Been to DL a million times.

Going to WDW with my husband for his first time. He'd never seen the castle, and his reaction to seeing it in person for the first time was as priceless as any child's.

Awesome video :thumbsup2. I love how you matched certain parts of the music to what was happening on the video ::yes::.

When I go to Walt Disney World, I am usually with either my husband, my mom, or both of them :). I have several family members who love to go there with us, and I also have friends from around the United States whom I meet up with at WDW each December. I'm 35 and have no children, but Walt Disney World is still my favorite place to be ::yes::.

One of my favorite memories from a family trip was our last trip in November.

We went to Whispering Canyon Cafe and were celebrating my niece's 22nd birthday. Bobby was our server (he is always the best).

In honor of her birthday, he did perform his special rendition of "Wind Beneath my Wings." We all laughed so hard, we cried.

It was truly the best meal we have ever had (don't remember what I had to eat).

The expressions on my DD's face when Ariel pulled out her treasures. SHe had pulled out a dinglehopper (fork) and was showing my DD how she combed her hair now. My DD was laughing and smiling telling her you eat with it. I will never forget the look on my DD's face.

I've only been to Disney once, but my favorite part was standing in from of the castle watching the fireworks go off!

Our all time family WDW moment happened in June of 1999. It was our first trip to WDW as a family. My son was a huge Pooh fan!!! He was four turning 5 during our trip to WDW. While at WDW, we picked up a birthday button for him to wear all day. We staked out our front row evening parade seats and waited for the arrival of all the Disney characters. The parade started and who do we see but Pooh in the distance. My son went into a trance and just stood up in amazement to watch his all time Disney character walk down the parade route. I told him to stick his hand out and that maybe Pooh would come by and shake it. Still standing in a trance, my son stuck out his hand for for a once in a lifetime moment. Sure enough, Pooh makes eye contact with my son and makes his way over and brings my son out into the parade route, shakes his hand and gives him a hug. I thought my son was going to go into shock. Of course I was bawling my eyes out!!! Later in the day, back at the room, he received a huge white chocolate Mickey sprinkled in gold dust, balloons, and a card signed by a bunch of the characters. pooh:

I think one of my favorites would be when we went to MNSSHP in 2004 and we all dressed up. DH went as Capt Jack Sparrow and DD & I were Pirate maids. Everywhere we went I could hear people say, "There goes Capt Jack" or "There's Jack Sparrow".
We had also taken one of my Disney Bears dressed up like a pirate and were able to get it a wrist band too.

Here is a pic of all us:
2004 MNSSHP

We had also attended the 999 Happy Haunts event and dressed up for that.
999 Happy Haunts Event 2004

We had a great time doing both events and it made it an extra special birthday trip for me.

I bookmarked this thread this AM, Dan, so I could watch the video. What a great work of art, and Disney appreciation. Certainly your media teachers missed the boat, unless they were looking for something specific that this video did not do. On its own, I thought it was super, VERY well done. Thanks for sharing it!!! :thumbsup2

fvorite memory would have to be being in the truck after driving in fom jacksonvlle ith dw dd and sis in law, listening to dd s are we there yet are we there yet etc, then we rounded a curve and she saw the sign and screamed we are there we are there...

Wow! Thanks sooo much for all the replies! They are fantastic! :woohoo:

I was worried that I wouldn't get many replies when the thread got moved, but it just goes to show there is an endless supply of helpful people all over this place! :grouphug:

And thanks Dan Murphy for watching the video! I'm glad you enjoyed it. :wizard:

Thanks again!

This brought tears to my eyes!!!

Dan- great video, I really enjoyed watching it and have to agree with Dan M about your teacher.

Sorry, don't have any WDW memories that stack up to the ones posted.
