I need another "cool thing" to do...

[Camping Griswalds]

This is a trip of many, but trying to try really new things. We've booled CRT and ILLUMINATIONS Cruise, but would love to do another really neat thing. What do you suggest??? A tour? Which one? We are a family of 5, myself, DH, DS 13, DS 9, DD 17 months. We're going from Jan 27th to Feb 7. 11 Total nights. First 6 at POP, and last 5 at AKL.

Take the family to Beaches and Cream and order the kitchen sink. It is a huge ice cream sundae and they flash the lights and announce that they are delivering a kithensink. My kids thought it was so cool and for under $25 it is a bargain. Beaches and Cream is at the Beach club and they do not accept reservations, but the wait was not bad. Here is a photo of it:

We will definately go back on our next trip.

The AKL is such a wonderful place why don't you just hang out and enjoy it?The pool is awesome.There's a playground plus the bonus of animal watching! Be sure to ask at the front desk for the Hidden Mickey list and hunt all over the resort for your favorite mouse.We had a blast doing that one afternoon!

Have you done the Family Magic Tour yet? My kids really enjoyed it. (Me, too!) You act really silly and save the MK from some villian.

Try the Safari tour we are thinking of doing this in june they go on different roads then the normal one.With the AKL it could be a theme thing for you.

This might not be what you are looking for but I think that the Sci Fi Drive in Theatre (Restaurant) is a VERY COOL thing to do.

With your one DD being 17 months, there might not be many tours that she would care for (I have a 27 month old and have been to WDW with her when she was 13 months and 24 months).

Are you staying on property? If so, you can rent a Pontoon boat at the Contemporary, Poly, or Grand Floridian and ride around Bay Lake and The Seven Seas Lagoon. We do this every year and it's one of my favorite parts of our trip - very relaxing!!!

What we did on our last trip ( there were 5 of us) we did a scavenger hunt! We googled before hand and got a list together. It was great fun. We all had the whole week to get everything on the list. Somethings were difficult but others were easy ( a WDW napkin for example) on our last night we did the big talley and who ever had the most got to pick out whatever they wanted from the store in the Maestro Mickey's. It was great fun and Dh and I are going just the two of us in Feb. and we are going to do this again. Lots of the stuff we got was great souvies for the scrapbook too.

Oh and we all went Mini golfing at Fantasia gardens too. That was good fun

I'm glad you liked the pictures. It seemed much larger sitting in front of me on the table.

I see that your screen name is camping griswald. Do you RV camp? We are avid campers and spend many of our summer weekends camping. We absolutely love to camp at FW.

Well Yes we used to camp, but after having kiddo #3 sold the camper. we plan on getting another one one day, but for now are "retired"

Fort Wilderness was our absolute favorite!!! We stayed multiple times in loops 1400 and 300. Wonderful place!!
