I need a little pixie dust please

.... or at least my DS9 does. I have had our Disneyland trip planned since February and we are set to leave this Friday. The only problem is that today my DS9 is running a temperature of 103. I am taking him to the Doctor tomorrow because with his symtpoms I am thinking that he has strep throat. Anyway, I know that there are alot of DISers here that are good luck and I would like a little of that right now. Thank you.

Also--if the doctor says it's not strep throat, or an infection (and therefore won't prescribe antibiotics), I recommend you try giving your DS an over-the-counter remedy called Zicam Cold Remedy.

It is advertised to "reduce the duration and severity of cold symptoms", and I'm here to tell you, it really works! My whole family swears by it. But you must use it religiously every 4 hours (except when sleeping, of course), and continue to use it for 48 hours even after you feel better. I have not had a full-blown cold/flu in over a year, and as a teacher, I used to get stay-at-home-sick at least twice a year.

Thank you so much for your well wishes. I have heard of Zicam and I will definitely give it a try if the Doctor can't do anything for us. Thank you for the recommendation. I'm glad this happend today rather than next Sunday when we are already there.

The good thing is, if it IS strep throat, he'll start feeling better pretty quickly once he gets the medication. AND you've still got 5 days to recover!

I got strep throat one year RIGHT in the middle of our vacation to Disney World.. Had to go to an Insta care and everything. I basically had to stay at our hotel the last couple of days so I couldn't get anyone else sick at WDW. The good news is that there are worse places to have strep throat.. I basically just got to lay out by the pool all day and drink smoothies...which was fine by me!

Just be optimistic about the situation and take everything in stride...

Thank you once again for the good vibes. I took him to the doctor today and it is strep throat so he started his medicine today. He should be feeling all better by the time we go. Now my only hope is that my DS13 did not catch it from him. Thanks again.
