i just hooked up my digital camera to the computer to download the 275 pictures that were on it.. it downloaded 107.. then stopped and deleted all the pictures off my camera..

so, the last 170 pictures are gone.. all the ones from my trip to alabama of my parents holding kaylyn, my grandparents holding her.. my daddy taking madison fishing.. all of them.. gone..

i have the kodak easyshare wireless camera.. this was all on the internal memory, not a memory card.. can anything be done to get these pictures back?

Oh, that stinks! I can't help, but hopefully someone else can! We've got lots of smart people here who might have the answer!

ohhhh i'm soooo excited... i just found the remaining pictures in some other random folder.. thank goodness i found them.. whew... :cool1:

There is software out there to attempt to recover them, but DO NOT TAKE ANY MORE PICTURES UNTIL YOU FIND IF YOU CAN RECOVER OR NOT.

Sorry for the caps, but the deleted pics will be overwritten if you do.

And of course, there are not many applications out there that are FREE that do this. I've never had to use this myself, so don't have any suggestions. Do a google search for "recover deleted on camera" and there are lots. The first one that comes up is $29.95 and seems to be about average.

Once you've done that, change the setting on software that automatically deletes the photos after downloading. Always manually delete AFTER you have verified they all have been copied to your PC.

(edited to add: I see you got your photos back. Yah! I would still change that setting on your software. :) )

I do not delete the card until moments before I need it again. A full reformat (in camera) of my 2gig CF card only takes 20 seconds.

ps How do I join your club?

i assume you're talking about my beers for ears association.. years ago it started because a lot of people wanted beer at the polynesian conceirge.. and somebody said we should protest and start beers for ears.. it's died down now because apparantly it worked.. poly conceirge has beer now!! but, i kept it in my sig anyway.. haha

I picked up some software on clearance at Target for about $20 just in case something ever happened to my picture files.
Well, 'just in case' happened a couple weeks ago when DS was taking pictures and wanted to delete a video he took. He hit 'delete all' I was not happy....his first day of school pics were on there along with some great ones I had taken that day of him and his cousins.
I am very happy to report that my $20 'just in case' purchase was worth every penny. In a matter of seconds all the files were recovered with no damage.
Im pretty sure it was from StompSoft (dh took the disc to work, so I cant check).
