He is driving me bonkers!! :lmao:
seriously he is always telling everyone how sexy he is and how awesome. he also everything he says has to be in refers to girls and how they think he sexy.. :rotfl2: He says a little more than this but i don;t want to get in trouble with points :rolleyes1

He is too young for that!! ok at least I think he is. he is 14 and is WAY into girls!! :scared1:

How do I get to understand that saying some of the things he says in front of me and his stepsister is kinda inappropriate???

before anyone says anything no he is not being abused just REALLY into girls!! :headache:

I think you should hose him down everytime he starts it or throw him in a cold shower.
; )

Your DH needs to have a serious talk about respect with him.

IloveJack02 has a great idea....though I would probably go with just a spray bottle with COLD water.:lmao:

My oldest was way into boys at what I thought was way too early also. She would ask on a nearly daily basis when she was in the 4th grade when would I let her date....I got sick of the question so I kept adding a month to my answer....took her until 18 and 3 months before she caught on.:rotfl2: Really what worked with her when she started in on boys was diverting the conversation....pretending that she hadn't really said anything. But that was after a few conversations of inappropriateness of what she was saying.

the cold water bottle sounds like it could be fun, every time he says something just squirt him LOL...:rotfl2::lmao:

no really I'll will have a little talk with his dad to see if he can talk to him about it when he should say something and when not too...:hippie:

ahh, sounds like the teen boy hormones kicking in...

usually that type of talk stops when he gets shut down by a few teen girls that inform him is not all that he thinks he is...and never will be.

That is usually followed by a drastic downturn in the ego department!

must admit the water bottle idea is good...

we use it on the grumpy pups to keep THEM from inappropirate barking..so its kinda the same situation!

hehehehehe

I didn't have this experience with my son as he wasn't vocal about it..lets just say I had to make sure the internet is NOT on his PSP...:rolleyes1

I'm filing this away to use in the future..... it could get the point across when nothing else does. :rotfl:

Have a long talk with him about the responsibilities of fatherhood. That might slow him down, and if it doesn't, he'll need to have the information.

As the mother of a 14yo boy, I'd definitely go with the spray bottle of cold water. Tell him he's being inappropriate and to remind him you're gonna spray him. Then do it. Also tell his Dad to advise him about obnoxious behavior and how girls ACTUALLY feel about it.
A little respect coming toward the women in the family would be a requirement. Tell him that he may speak of these things to his friends but NOT to you or his sister. Go in to his room in the middle of the night and open the window wide. Do it over and over again. Explain to him that he needs to cool off.

He just said something else and I told him I was going to get a squirt bottle with cold water and squirt him every time he said something like that. he said "ooo I would LIKE that"...what am I going to do with him..

Do it. It will get old-just like his mouth. lol!

No matter what he does and says I wouldn't use the water on your "step" son. Have your husband do it. If it gets back to his mother, not sure you would like the response.

ewww......
my sister had the same problem with her son (a little younger though). he was watching HBO late at night

I think most boys try this at one point or another. We told him that if we ever caught him with it again he lost everything!! ..so far it has worked..lol

Meh', he's a kid. They sometimes do stupid things like this. Just tell him to knock it off it's no big deal.

That's what I was thinking. Girls can be particularly cruel when accosted by this kinda guy. As well they should. He's being a creep. This kind of talk springs not from his thinking he's all that with the girls, but from insecurity that he's really NOT all that with the girls. Behind every strutting peacock is a chicken. That said, your DH has to take the situation in hand. I would be concerned about the inappropriate comments in the presence of your daughter, Not-His-Sister. I agree with the poster who said nix the spray bottle. I might do that with my child, but not with a stepchild. DAD needs to be the heavy in this scene. Get right on that.:thumbsup2

You think they only do it when they're young?? Now is definatly the time to tell him that girls think it's really stupid and it's not the way to attract a girl. Cause if you don't get rid of the problem now, he'll still be doing it 10yrs down the road.

You are so right my uncle still does this...he still tells my mom that she should have married the good looking one...:lmao:

10 years?! My ex-husband still does this! :rotfl: Please take care of this asap so he doesn't turn out like him. :lmao:

Dh and I talked about it and we both agree that he is feeling insecure as his mom does the same things but in others way i.e. telling me how much better at everything she is than me including that she is prettier..anyway dh talked with him and it did calm down for now..he is just going to have to have a little chat with him every time he starts in like that...he has come a long way the past couple of years so I hope it continues...:goodvibes

Thanks everyone for the help and suggestions :goodvibes
