maybe this is a push towards a relocate nerer one of these princesses iu keep hearing about best of luck J.J. this could be the best thing that evr happened. The last time I got downsized.. Ended up putting me in bizz for myserlf , was the push i needed to get started, and 5 yrs later i am still sucessessfull even after being delegated t o injured reserve for 9 months now. Hang in there

After being through many difficult times in our lives over many years, we live by the idea that "everything happens for a reason and also for the best". It sure doesn't seem like it at the time, but as Froggy said, it was the best thing for him. Believe me, I say this from LOTS of personal experience and hanging onto that thought is the only way we have gotten through at times!

I know how you feel about the loyalty issue. That really hurts. But as someone else said, definitely inquire back at the places you turned down. Also, look into financial aid for school - explore your local community college if it's too late for a four year school. Don't let yourself mope for too long - that has happened to my DH and it is so difficult to come out of. Are you free to relocate? If there is a central on-line listing of jobs in your field, start researching and sending resumes.

Ahhhhh... Advertising-it sucks the life out of you, and then they toss you out like an old washrag.

DH has been in the business for almost 20 years, and has seen and been the victim of what you are experiencing. He left his first agency on his own. (a few Addy's and a Clio) Second agency fired him after 5 years and about a dozen more Addys. Went into business for himself for 8 years, hated his partner, sold the business. Now he comes home from his current agency totally depressed saying he can't do it anymore. He can't possibly find an equally paying job so we are stuck until we can figure out another plan.
He actually used to love it....Here's your hug,

I have found throughout all this, that when he did get fired, the next job was actually better than the last. Like they say, when God closes a door, He opens a window. Keep your chin up. Good thoughts to you...

You guys are the best! I'been trying my best to keep busy....my family must love me because I have cleaned the entire house and mowed the lawn....just to keep my mind off of everything. I was shocked to see so many wonderful people lining up to throw a hug my way. Thank you...you all have truly touched me today. Thank you.

I've said it once already but I do wish you the best of luck in whatever decision you make. It may be hard to do but enjoy the coming weeks and do something you have wanted to but couldn't because of work. Don't sit around your home even if you are productive. This is a moment when you have so many new windows opening you should take advantage. Random road trips are my favorite and you can learn a lot about yourself. I find I ususally discover the answer by the end, even if it just a day. Some sign happens, a conversation with a stranger, a song on the radio or an epiphany cruzing down a windy country road. Lean on your faith as I know you will.

Big bear hugs and an understanding shoulder to lay your head on if it gets to be to much.
