Our babysitter is 17 yrs. old. She is still new to the area; she just moved here at the beginning of October. I would like to get her a Christmas gift, but I haven't had to buy for a teenager in many years. What do you suggest? Typical teenager gifts are good. Since she is still new to our state/area, maybe we can buy a gift to help with that, too. I just have no ideas. I have a week to do this.
**She has babysat for us about 3 or 4 times. She will be babysitting next Saturday while DH and I go to a church Christmas party. That is when I plan to give her the gift. Also, DH works with her dad. That is how we know her.

Maybe a giftset from bath and body works or a gift card so she can buy stuff there? Most girls this age love that stuff!

Does she use iTunes? Maybe a gift card for that? The mall is also a good one, or Old Navy.

I vote for Bath & Body Works set or gift card or an Old Navy Gift Card.

:)

Plain old cash or a local Mall certificate. Girls that age usually love to shop for themselves.

herc.

I am another one to suggest gift cards. I like buying a mall one, so she can even choose what store to use it at.

I was leaning toward a gift certificate, too, but I wasn't sure. The mall is probably the perfect solution! Our Bath and Body Works is in the mall so she could use it there or any other favorite store. That should be easy enough.

I agree, a mall gift card is the way to go!

I bought a funky wallet in the teens fav color and filled it with gift cards 5.00 dunkin doughnuts,10.00 at cumbies(quickie mart chain in north east),10.00 at clairs, 5.00 at mcdonalds,5.00 at starbucks, and a 20.00 bill where the cash goes, you could always down size any of the amounts. This was for my best friends daughter i think it will be a big hit with her.

OOOOH. That is a CUTE idea, tinksgirl!!!!!!! I didn't plan on spending that much, but I guess I could put the mall gift certificate in it and some cash.

Very cute idea!

If she drives, don't forget a gas card is a good option...

What about movie passes for she and a friend? Or to another area event or attraction? My thinking was something she can do with a friend as bonding time to build her friendship. Another idea would be something for her room? Maybe one of her parents can give some insight?
