I ended up doing the dining plan.

I need 3 TS:

Mon- MGM - can I use the dining plan with FDP? They told me I can't.
Wed-TS suggestion at a resort?
Fri-TS suggestion at a resort or DTD?

Which resorts will you be staying at?? or which parks will you be visiting wed. or friday?

We just got back. We had a great lunch at SciFi Diner in MGM. Lots of fun and atmosphere. At the resorts we ate at OHana at the POLY--which we go to every time. We also had dinner at Spoodles. I liked the food at Spoodles better, but the atmosphere is great at Ohana. I would recommend either. At DTD, we did a quick lunch at Earl of Sandwich-which was very good.

Last weekend we ate at the Contempory, the Concourse Steakhouse, it was really yummy. The chocolate pudding cake was phenominal, my husband had the cheescake which was very festive with its chocolate mickey ears on the plate and DD4 had the artist palette. Oh and for dinner we had the chipotle glazed ribye and added the shrimp skewers. DD had the chicken fingers. We used the dining plan and thought it was an amazing value, our bill came to over 125.00 all covered on the dining plan.

Thanks. I ended up choosing to not make a PS at MGM - we're doing 1/2 day so I didn't want to risk not having enough time. Instead we are doing 2 TS meals on Tuesday - Donald's Breakfast at 9:10 and Boma's at 7PM. Ouch having it spread out so far but I figured they are buffets and at breakfast it should keep us full until at least around 3 or 4 then we can get a snack.

I made a PS for Ohana's as well and was told I might get lucky and get a seat with a view of the fireworks at MK! My PS is at 8:20 :)

I have 5 TS PS's... Might leave the last one open for MGM or walk up Captain Jack's.
We'll be at Caribbean Beach Resort. I suppose I can eat at the Shutters - the menu looks okay to me :) so maybe that's an option.

Ohana is good. I'd also go for Kona on a free night, it's one of our favorites and I've heard that people get great deals with the dining plan there. The desserts are fabulous - they have their own dessert chef!

I would agree with the suggestion for the Concourse Steakhouse. You can get your money's worth there and it only uses up 1 table service.

In one of your earlier posts when you were 1st considering the dining plan, wasn't 1 of your restaurant choices Chef Mickey's? (Or am I remembering wrong? Quite possible - we leave next Saturday, & I'm quickly going crazy! :teeth: ) Also, didn't your DH want to eat at Fulton's? Is that 1 of your current PS's?

Since you've made a PS for 'Ohana, I personally wouldn't make a PS for Kona Cafe as well - both are at the Poly - and I would want the opportunity to see another resort, but that's just me. Concourse is at the Contemporary, right? (I'm currently trying to figure out how I can swing a meal at the GF - I've got PS's for 'Ohana at the Poly, Chef Mickey's at the Contemporary, & Boma at the AKL - but nothing at the GF! And I would so love to a chance to see the GF . . . :goodvibes )

Chef Mickey's is booked.
DH said he didn't have to eat at Fulton's and it's not on the dining plan.

On the days we have free - one we will be at MGM, one we will be returning from the water park and going to Pleasure Island but none of the DTD restaurants on the dining plan appeal to me. And on departure day but aren't sure of plans yet so don't know.

Glad to hear that you booked the dining plan. You won't be disappointed. We ate at Ohanas too and had a seat facing the fireworks. Our ressie was for 7:40 and we were just finishing up when the fireworks started. Make sure you ask for a table where you can see the FW when you get to the podium! The CM told me they can't always honor it but will do their best when you ask! Have fun!!

We have the Concourse at the Contemporary planned for this summer. I hear it's a great place with view on the Monorail.

I m glad you opted on the dining plan. I don't think you will regret it. Dining in WDW is as much an experience as the parks.....

The Grand Floridian Cafe was a wonderful surprise! It was GREAT and I thought it was worth more than just one table service honestly.

At MGM the 50s Prime Time was very nice if you like pot roast or a great fried chicken.

Concourse Steak house was also great. Too bad we were all so tired from Typhoon Lagoon, lol. My 5 yr old slept through the whole dinner.
