can someone fill me in? I had a long day today, and knew I wouldn't be able to watch it. So, what was the most inspiring part of the show (BESIDES Ty Pennington! LOL!)? I bet it was super motivating!

The whole thing was inspirational to me. The proposal made me weep but then I have this whole carb deprivation thing going.

How about a link to her site? OPRAH

I would have missed it too but fortunately for me I had begged for reminders yesterday. WISHers came through for me like always :)

Hi Linda!
You have me thinking about this question.

The most inspiring part of the show for me was probably the people who just did it themselves. No surgery. No personal chef. They made a decision and changed their... no, scratch that... GOT their lives back.

The most motivational part? The large amounts of weight people lost in ONE year!! It made me walk four miles instead of two! It made me think of what else I could be doing to maximize my weight loss opportunities.

The most touching part? A toughy. The last gentleman proposed to his girlfriend and what he said was quite beautiful and so touching and heartfelt, but I'll be darned if it wasn't the man who lost 300 pounds and got the Porshe that actually got me misty-eyed! He was just so grateful to simply sit in it and to be able to fit. That really got to me for some reason.

Okay, so I know it wasn't a blow by blow of the show, but I hope this helps! OH! And the funniest moment?? It had to be Ty!! He was very cute when he taped a small segment for the 22 girl who had never been on a date. He even said she was hot! It was funny and the box and necklace he made her were very sweet. :)

Thanks for the link Katholyn!

I missed it because I was in the kitchen getting dinner ready and I always watch T.V. while I'm cooking. DS was helping his cousin who are both in 10th grade with his Trig, trying desperately to make him understand how to do it. They were at the dining room table in earshot of my T.V. so I had to turn it off. For a while I was about an inch away from it trying to hear it on the lowest volume, but they could still hear it. So I decided to be nice and not make them move all the books etc.. and cook silently,......how boring.

Anyone else love having a T.V. in the kitchen?

I found it incredibly inspirational and I liked the proposal but I agree that the porsche guy was the best. I also liked the woman who went hiking with Oprah (her excitement at being able to buy size large off the rack was great!)

The cynic in me was P.O.ed at the diatribe the proposal guy said after proposing. (besides - although I am FAT I have a pretty great life!) Also - since this guy hadn't had a date since high school and this was his first serious girlfriend - the proposal seemed a bit desperate (as I said, I'm a cynic) but I hope that this is his princess and they live happily ever after!

aurora, I’m with you. Some of the proposal guy’s speech did tick me off since he seemed to be saying that you need to be thin to find love. And that having a partner is what life is all about. Um, I don’t have a partner AND I’m a few pounds overweight, but I actually DO have a life. I did cry over the proposal though, and the car guy. The show was pretty inspiring. I’m dying to know how the date with “Bachelor Bob” went.
