I miss Pete

Change is always difficult. I for one am more than impressed with the quality of the "host of the week". It's a much more difficult job than it seems.

Once everyone gets their feet wet and use to the idea, things will feel like "Pete who?"

I love Pete too- but I enjoy all of the Podcast team and realy am enjoying the new rotating host format!

Pete was a great host- and a strong leader on the show. Him being away is allowing the other team members to blossom!

I am just as avid a listener now as before!

Of course I miss Pete, but I've really enjoyed the new show too. The different host/hostess each week really has been fun.
Change is always so hard (at least for me)...I thought without Bob, the show would be a bust...it wasn't. I miss Bob, but the show has evolved and developed to fill his void with different people...AND, it's still excellent.


Each person on the team adds something unique to the podcast, anyone of them would be missed if they weren't a part of it any longer, but it would still be the best podcast out there.

Agree, I miss Pete and still really miss Bob, but I am enjoying the rotating hosts too and hopefully Pete will be in the rotation a some point. Each member of the team is indeed very unique and I like hearing their own personal style. I guess it isn't so much missing Pete as host, but missing him just being on the show. He hasn't been on the last two weeks, but Kevin says he makes an appearance this week so I'm excited for that. I really can't imagine ever thinking/saying "Pete who?"

I admit I miss Pete hosting the show too. But if I'm honest it's because he'd hosted for so long that he could do it blindfold with a smooth style that kept things moving along without any jarring change overs.

I think that's why I don't like the rotating hosts, it's not giving anyone enough time to become proficient in the skills needed for it to run smoothly.

Given time I'm sure it will settle down as everyone gets a few turns in the chair, but until then, each week feels like the way a podcast does when it's just starting out (unfortunately very rough).

That doesn't mean I don't like the people & the show, it's just not slick like it used to be. (Oh, and does anyone else find it weird that "virtual Pete" makes an appearance every time we go to the prizematron?)

The townies aren't offended but the cutters are ticked..... lol I still find the townie and cutter thing so funny. I miss Pete too but I agree that everyone adds to the team and that is what makes it work. I will say that I thought Kevin did a terriffic job. And I like being suprised each week.

I would just like to start out by saying that I love every single member of the Podcast Crew

That being said , I miss Pete like crazy !!! There's just something about him. He's so quick and witty and brutally honest , he's a tough act to follow. He had the Podcast running like a well oiled machine

I do like the shifting hosts and I think once everyone gets the hang of hosting , they'll be awesome
Everyone has their own little something to bring to the table

I personally can't wait until Ferris hosts

We are trying to keep the show fresh and vibrant.

Like Walt said about Disneyland (I'm paraphrasing here)...it will never be done.

Pete does make an appearance in this week's email show and gives some hints about things that may be coming in the near future.

We talked about these new things after the show was done recording and the changes could be VERY exciting.

Exciting is good...but it does mean more change.

I will give you a hint.......next week's show will be different yet again....and not only a new host.

Here's hoping you will give all of the new changes a chance.

I think the gang is doing an excellent job! They all bring their own perspective & personality to the show. Each regular is missed when they are away. Everyone needs a break. I imagine recording week after week has got to be a bit gruling.

I miss Pete too, but am really enjoying the new format, with the rotating hosts. You guys are all fantastic, and really make me feel like I'm getting a little bit of that Disney magic all year long, in between our trips.

I do have to ask though. If the Bob Varley studio is still IN Pete's house, are you guys like breaking in or something while he's not there!?

As a fellow transplanted Jerseyian, I do miss Pete's humor because it's so familiar to me-which is also why I enjoy yours Kevin! We will all continue to miss Bob, but luckily we can go back and listen to the classic "mo-jee-to" episode over and over.

A few years ago I didn't even know what a podcast WAS, and now I'm depressed if I can't get my weekly fix! I trust you guys to keep making the experience better and better.

I don't like the rotating hosts. IMO, pick a host and stick with it. I'd pick John. Kevin is my very favorite poscaster...so much so that I'll just skip a podcast isn't on, but...I'd go with John for host.

Whoever the host is, have one.

But I'm not in charge, lol.

I agree with most out there, I miss Bob and I miss Pete as the weekly host. However, with that being said, change is not always a bad thing. As the world and our lives are ever changing, so does the show. I look forward to the times when Pete will make an appearance, as I love his humor and his personality....I'm transplanted from Jersey also so I "get" what he says. As always, the Pod Cast Team is doing a GREAT job and I look forward each week to getting my DIS fix. Love you guys (and gals)
