I MET A DISer AT THE CUBS GAME TODAY!!

How cool is that?!?! robinb & I knew about a month ago that we'd both be at the game today so, we swapped seat info (we were only a section apart) and, just before I was gonna 'lurk' over to her section, she was standing there at the end of my aisle!! We hugged, talked and talked!! How nice to meet a fellow DISer so casually!! She was soo nice and easy to talk to. Isn't it amazing how the DIS (and the Cubs!) can bring a WI DISer & a Chicago DISer together like that?

btw, Sammy hit his 499th but, not the hoped-for 500. What an opening day that'll be!!! And, the Cubs won!!

So to Robin ~ It was GREAT to meet you today. See ya again on 10/12!!

WOW. I was at the Cubs game yesterday too! I'm not a Cubs fan tho, my boyfriend is. I was born and raised in Bridgport, in the days of Richard "J" Daley (showing my age here) and Boo Hoo my team lost yesterday.

Also, a shameless bump but, robin & RHONDA, those Cherished Teddie Billy Williams' 'give-away's', are catching some money on Ebay! fyi I have 2 and, already have a bid for $45 for one of them.

And, I FORGOT to mention that, Sammy's wife & family walked right by robin & I while we chatted! Wowza, Sonya/Sonia needs some make-up advice!! Less is more, sweetie!!

Yes KimRaye my team would be the White Sox who finished the season at 81 - 81. What was the Cubs record again?????? I gave the cherished teddy to my boyfriend and I don't think he would take any money for it. He grew up watching Billy Williams and Ernie Banks and Ron Santo - AHHHH the good old days of baseball when it was fun to watch.
