You all are very cute! Including the Dole Whip!! ;)

I was going to say my bathroom was painted in Fairy Godmother Blue - but I just looked up the teeny tiny samples on line and that is too light - I think I had that picked at one point then went darker - now I think we wound up with Sorcerers Hat :wizard:
I bet that's really nice blue for a bathroom. And ya know, since we've really USED the disney paints I feel more cofortable "borrowing" the samples. I can tell the workers to come look at my sons room if they really want to know why I'm taking all those samples!

Here is a Dole whip to hold you all over till you get to your happy place....lol

Good Grief. That looks good.

It doesn't just look good it smells good and feels good...Oh that's just my plain ole cup of coffee sitting in front of me, and I thought it was a real dole whip!

The title is sick x3 because all three of us are sick.:sad2: Me and DH with head and chest colds and Brady with a cough. This really stinks. I mean I even had to stay home from work on Monday, how am I supposed to go online on the DIS if I'm not bored at work??:confused3
Brady is at least sleeping well. It hasn't affected him much. DH has kept me up the past 2 nights with his snoring. I can't stand snoring. That noise when I'm trying to sleep, you might as well be running the lawnmower in my room! Hopefully tonight will be better.

Still working on the airfare. Jetblue has a direct flight out at $94+tax and Airtran not direct home at $114. I think I may book these two. It's still $50 per person more than I want to spend but at this rate what's another $50? By August it might be $150! We'll see if I can hold out for 2 more weeks till June.

Well DS is napping and I"m on my way to join him. If I can't sleep at night I might as well sleep during the day!

This is from the last time DH was sick last summer. Brady makes that same face when he's upset. It's too funny. (and what a whiner DH is!;) )

Im sorry youre all not feeling well :( i hope you feel better soon!

Hope ya'll get to feeling well soon!

A storm blew through here on Saturday and we have been sneezing since.

:cool1: :cool1: Well, I got direct flights to Orlando but I haven't booked a flight home yet. Looks like we may have to stay!;)

I checked Jetblue like I do every morning and the direct flight that leaves at noon and gets in at 2:30 was on sale for $82 including fees! :cool1: I booked our seats and now feel slightly better. No fares have dropped for our way home though. I'll wait to those. It's a little later than I'd like to get into Orlando but we weren't really planning on doing anything that first day anyway. We have ADRs for 6:30 at Chef Mickey's and we'll be able to still make that.

Now if only I could get rid of this cold. I'm so sick of being sick!

So I almost booked but then DH stopped me. He told me to wait and I guess I will. He also told me SW has a built up supply of fuel that they have been stockpiling b/c they knew this would happen to the prices of fuel and they won't have to raise prices as drastically becuase of this. Anyone else here about this? Sounds like doggy doo doo. But I fell for it and haven't booked yet.

AAAAA, this is killing me!

Well, my husband works for Southwest. I can tell you that the gas prices are not affecting Southwest immediately which is why their rates are staying pretty consistant in most places. I wouldn't hurry up and book your fares just based on gas prices. So don't feel rushed. :) By the way, loving the trip report. We eloped and I was wearing a winnie the pooh shirt and spent a week at Disney on our honeymoon. My husband is like yours. Doesn't know WHY we have to go all the time. :confused3 What is WRONG with these guys???

I keep telling DH if he wants to go somewhere all he needs to do is book it! But if he's waiting for me to plan than it will be WDW everytime. :thumbsup2

Oh yes! I have had that SAME conversation. He thinks I am brain washing the kids. LOL. But I told him, I can get a whole trip planned, meals reserved, hotel accomations, etc in less than 48 hours. And he can't decide which side of the US he wants to visit after 4 months. So I told him WHEN he has planned something, bring it to me! Until then, Disney rules. :rotfl2:

I can only tell you from what I know in the past. Other airlines are adding additional costs like charging for the first bag, or second bag, when most of them didn't in the past. Southwest is still not charging for the first two bags, as of the time of this post, they said they are not going to. I haven't seen Southwest do anything drastic in relation to their fees since 9/11, however, I am not sure when they will be negotiating their next gas purchase. I think the gas prices are hurting everyone, everywhere. I know some airlines are retiring their larger planes in their fleets, and cancelling flights to try and save on gas. I haven't heard of anything like this through Southwest, all planes are the same size, type. But that doesn't mean it can't or won't happen. They just haven't announced anything. Honestly, I don't have any information other than being married to someone who works there. But knowing the company from an employee side, I believe that Southwest is a great company and that they won't do anything major with out thinking of how it is going to affect their customers. I think they are sitting back and watching how these other changes from other airlines are affecting them business wise. You may see other airlines going up 50.00 a ticket, but Southwest may go up 5.00 or 10.00. They don't gouge you. I asked my husband if it would be safe for me to tell you to buy your tickets when you want them, and not when you feel like you have to. And he said, yes, that is a good thing to say because if Southwest raises their fees, it would only be that 5 or 10 bucks. Southwest prides itself on being a lowcost carrier who, right now, is in a great position with the choices that its CEO and others up there have made.

He also said that with American charging for that first bag, other airlines are going to sit back and see how that goes. Are flyers going to be willing to pay for their one checked bag to be flown, or are they going to stay away from American and go to other companies? I think if American doesn't get too much heat for it, and their loyal customers will pay it, then more airlines will start charging that as well because it is another way to make a profit where they haven't been making it before. They have skimped on everything they can up until now. Airlines are stuck between trying to stay in the air and still making flying affordable.

So as far as Southwest and their prices, I wouldn't get in a hurry just based on fuel prices. My husband said that Southwest is locked in on 80% of their gas for the rest of the year. So the gas prices can go up and it shouldn't directly affect Southwest. I would just buy your tickets when you see a sale or can afford to. They are usually pretty consistant.

Well I booked our flight home and I'm happy and sad at the same time! Did I really think we'd stay in FL forever? I guess not :headache:

I saw over the weekend that Airtran and a couple other airlines were raising prices by $30-$60 so I got worried and booked the direct Jetblue flight home. It leaves MCO at 4:30pm so at least we'll have a lot of the day to still be in WDW. It's only a 2 hour difference in the SW flight we normally take home at 6:30. We ended up paying about $230 for our roundtrip which isn't horrible and only about $50 more than I'd wanted to spend.
I"ll just have to send DH to work an extra night to make up for the difference! ;)

So we're going to FL AND coming home. All booked and the trip is really happening now!

DH and I still are not feeling all that great. DH is worse than me but I"m still not totally better. This late season cold is really putting on a fight for us. I'll be happy when the weather stays warm and we are feeling good again! Hopefully by this weekend.

Congrats on getting the flights booked - I wouldn'y have minded a one-way ticket to Orlando either :rolleyes1 . Hope you are all feeling better soon. It seems like everyone has a cold right now - a few people at my office were sick (with colds) while I was away, so I'm crossing my fingers that there aren't any lingering germs!

We now have our flights and car rental booked for DL/CA US SW SDZoo Surfing for our Oct trip...Im so excited for the both of us...lol
