I may lose my job but at least I have a PTR! Live update from POFQ

pooh002.jpg

Believe it or not he HAted that costume though you can't tell by the pic. We live in Louisiana and it is sooo hot even in October. I got these shots and I don't think we could get it on him again! LOL

Your DS is TOO cute! I love the costume! Brady loved his costume. I was kinda funny actually. He didn't ever try to take the hat off or anything. I think I could've put him in it everyday. Maybe I could have gotten him a job as eeyore!

okay you had me in the first few lines with the song, lol....were were at Santa's Village (Bracebridge) a few years ago and we watched a show with that song. The kids only heard it that one time and still sing it once in a while, lol. They sang it to Nana when we got home and she thought it was the funniest thing ever.
Anyways also had to say we both have a Brady!!
So i'm in...looking forward to hearing more...

Oh another Brady baby! When they wheeled me away for my c-section DH was left with 3 name choices. He came in to the delivery room and told me it would be Brady. I was sooo happy!
Doesn't that song just stick with you forever? I learned it in grade school but sometimes it just sticks in my head in meetings or whenever! Can't wait till I can teach it to Brady and really annoy DH!
 Hello hello!! I am on board!

*hops in doombuggy and gets ready for the ride*

I'm leaving in only 19 days but I wish I was going for free dining!

Awesome! Save a Doombuggy for me!!:cutie:

It's funny you say that. My DH is in a band called Doombuggy and that was before he even met me. I think we were destined to be together! He didn't even know what a Doombuggy was at WDW!

Well, I know I said I wouldn't freak. But I'm freakin.:scared1:

I'm getting worried that SW hasn't had a really good "sale" in awhile. They have some Mother's Day deal right now but it's still over $250 for the flights I want. I found a good fare for the way down to FL but I can't find anything good for the trip home. Maybe I'll never come home?:confused3 I'd run out of money way too fast :headache:

So I almost booked but then DH stopped me. He told me to wait and I guess I will. He also told me SW has a built up supply of fuel that they have been stockpiling b/c they knew this would happen to the prices of fuel and they won't have to raise prices as drastically becuase of this. Anyone else here about this? Sounds like doggy doo doo. But I fell for it and haven't booked yet.

AAAAA, this is killing me!

I don't know about the "stockpile of fuel",:lmao: but SWA is good about lots of sales, especially at the last minute. Did you download the ding desktop widget? Oh, and maybe check out some broker sites? :confused3 You can also check craigslist and the like, but they're not all that reliable :rotfl2: Good luck and keep me posted!

Oh, I know how you feel. The unknowing is torture, but from what I've heard SW does have great sales.

Thought some pixiedust: might help!

Yeah, who knows what news reports DH is listening too! Crazy ones made up in his mind! I can't download the DING because we are blocked at work. I don't use my home computer enough to take advantage of it. Maybe I'll get Grammy to do it. But then she'll call me 7 times per day asking me al these questions about specials she's seeing. We'll end up flying to LA instead of Orlando "Rosie, I saw this great flight on Mon going to LA and coming home Tues from Vegas!" :confused3

Thanks, I'm patiently waiting...:surfweb:

So there I was, finally engaged and starting to plan my wedding. DH did not want a HUGE wedding (ok, intimate wedding!), DH does not have a ton of family (ok, not too many people to travel with), My parents are retired and can easily travel (travelling is OK), My sister lives out of town and would have to travel anyway (sister travels home or to WDW no diff!).

So the ideas were really flowing through my mind. I would LOVE to get married in WDW! I sat my mother down and told her the plan and had all my books and materials ready for her questions. It really looked like we could do this. However, we also wanted a reception back home because many members of our family simply couldn't come. We wanted an intimate wedding but WDW at the time only allowed 15 people and we had like 20 coming. We just couldn't afford the BIG WEDDING at WDW plus a reception at home.

Cue the WDW Gods again (see I really am the Popette of WDW) They do weddings at the Swan! And you can invite as many people as you want! And you get to stay in the most beautiful Dolphin resort again! :thumbsup2

And so it was booked. My dream wedding at the Swan with dinner at Ohana's afterward. 25 people ended up going to Fl with us. We felt very honored!

Just married in the MK!
Why am I telling all this background? Well, you see, every year DH asks me why we go to WDW EVERY year. "Isn't every few years good enough?" :sad2: You'd think the man that got MARRIED in WDW would've gotten a clue from that alone that this place would be very very important in our lives. It's a break from reality (that I take everyday during my "research" time! ;) ) that is just needed.
Paddy just doesn't get "excited" about vacations. We even went to DL and LA and not hardly a WHOO HOO! came out of him. He likes to relax and eat and drink on vacations. So I plan A LOT of time for him to accomplish those things. That is why the FREE DINING is so great for us. We really enjoy eating well and this gives us a chance to eat some good meals and save some $$ for DRINKS (for Paddy) and PRESENTS (mostly for me!).

I know I'm starting to rub off on him though. I don't do camping at all. The FW cabins are too much nature for me. DH says we have to stay there with Brady. He's already planning when DS will be old enough to ride the golf carts around FW! (why did I have to have a boy, if I had a girl I'd be planning spa treatments at the GF!) But ya know what? At least he's excited about something and that means at least one more trip I get to plan!

OK joining in and loving your pictures. I want to do a vow renewal at Disney when we hit 25 years.......................only 4.5 to go......................lol

Congrats on your 20th anny! (see I can do quick math, that's why I work at a bank!) 4.5 must seem like nothing compared to the last 20 years :)

I'm working on a VR for my 5th. You see it rained on our wedding day and I got NO outside beautiful pictures. That's all I want. I don't even have to actually have a VR just dress up and take some pictures! Now I just have to tell DH about my 5 year plan :thumbsup2

Well Brady and I went out shopping over the weekend. I wasn't even out that long. He hit the wall at Target!

Targetsleep.jpg

Am I a bad mommy cause I figured he was getting his nap-time in so I could keep shopping?? :confused3 I mean I couldn't wake the sleeping kid up right?

Still nothing on the airfare. SW has dropped the price slightly on the early morning nonstop flight to MCO that I want. Maybe I should book that? Airtran price went up $15 on the way home I wanted. Otherwise I would've booked that and the SW departing. So I'm still waiting...

In addition to hitting the stores I also did some garage sale shopping last week. At Grammy's house they have this giant 5 block sale. We went around for about 2 hours. We got a TON of stuff.

My best purchase is a Peg Perego Aria stroller for $20!:thumbsup2 Now I know many people don't like this stroller but DS is very light for his age. Barely 22lbs right now at 16 months and I feel that this stroller will be good for WDW. It has the snack bar and storage I'm looking for. I have this stroller problem. I own an evenflo travel system and boy o boy is that thing HEAVY. I love how it steers and how roomy it is but I could never imagine taking that to WDW. I also have a Chicco Capri stroller which is lightweight and folds oh so nicely. But it doesn't have the snack bar or good storage. I just can't imagine Brady falling alseep in that after a hot day in the parks. Plus DH refuses to push that one because it is so short. So I found my $20 bargain and took it all apart and washed it. Now it's ready to go! For now it's just going to the mall, but soon it will be going to WDW!
Plus I figure I can always sell it next year at my own garage sale!

Thank you. It has been a long road but, I swear it has went by so fast it is like the Autobahn..........lol.

I love your plan.............lol. My husband loves Disney, he just isn't as fanatic about it as I. I started with the "I want to do a vow renewal at Disney" talk last week while we were at Disney. October 3 is or anniversary so it would be a great time to go, nice weather, parks not so crowded. See I have started the planning already.......................lol.

The cost at Disney starts at like $2950. But, when you go on and read the whole thing it is more like $10,000(least expensive............:scared1: ). So I have alot of talking to do.

Hi! Joining in! Sounds like a fun trip you have planned!
We travel with my Dad and sometimes my Stepmom and they are such a big help to us!

How exciting that you got married at Disney!!

Your son is so cute! I love the pictures in his Eeyore costume! :eeyore:

I'll be in Disney end of Sept too! Just my son and I this trip. He is 12!
Fri 9/26 to Tues 9/30. We're looking forward to MNSSHP and F&W fest!!! First time for both these events for us!

WOW you got a good deal on that stroller. Especially seeing how much Disney is charging for rentals now. We didn't see half the rental strollers we usually see. Most people were using their own. And If that stroller is in good shape you can probably get $20 for it yourself and get back all your money.:thumbsup2

There's an AirTran Discount Code out. There's more information posted on the Budget Board. Here's the link! Hope it helps!

Aw, I missed it! Thanks though. Now I know to look out for those sales!

That's nice that your dad and SM help out. My sister is giving me some lip about "using" my mother as our babysitter on vacation. :confused3 I asked my sister to go with us, she chose to take a cruise. My mother is so excited to go and she wants to spend time with Brady. And we are not planning on leaving her with him every night either. (maybe just a few ;) She offered!)

My little Bug-Man has a fever for 2 days now. He's also not eating as well as normal. I hope it's just the sickness and not new eating habits. He eats everything right now (even black olives!) and I'd hate it if he suddenly got picky.

So DH came home from work yesterday and handed me 2 sheets of laminating paper :confused3 I had no idea why and he kept telling me it was for our trip, for those things I wanted to make. Well, Golly! (yes I just said that!) DH listens to me!:thumbsup2 Awhile back I took some LGMH (other colors too) from Home Depot while we were there. I told him they were to make luggage tags and stroller tags. He looked at me like I was nuts. But that good ole DH of mine actually brought home some laminating paper so I could actually make my luggage tags and whatnot! He's such a sweety.

Now a confession: We actually USED one of the colors from the Mickey Head collection to paint DS room. BUT the color is Tinker Belle Green and I swore to DH I wouldn't ever tell Brady that his room was Tinker Belle Green, that's way too girly (oh and we knew we were having a boy!) But it looks really really nice!

That was sweet of your DH! I'm also in the process of trying to get crafty with those swatches!

I remember looking at the swatches years ago (before learning on the Dis that I should be "borrowing" them :lmao: ) and the Tinkerbelle Green was my favorite - I begged my Mom to repaint my room! I think its a pretty neutral color so you don't have to worry :thumbsup2

OMG! I want to see that! We could make the whole Hundred Acre woods!

I started "trying on" his Eeyore outfit in July! I would put it on him once a month. I just couldn't resist! He just looked so darn cute in it.
Very cute Eeyorre and Pooh Pics. Too bad there is not a frog in the HUNDRED Acre Woods Gang.... My main little man choose to be a frog when I took him on his first walking around trick or treat...he picked out the costume himself and was the hit of the cudesak.

I was going to say my bathroom was painted in Fairy Godmother Blue - but I just looked up the teeny tiny samples on line and that is too light - I think I had that picked at one point then went darker - now I think we wound up with Sorcerers Hat :wizard:
