I just received a package this morning(for some reason the mail was really early this morning)I got a package from Susie(dont want to post your last name)from Alabama.She sent me five cook books because she couldnt make up her mind about which recipes to send.So on top of cookie recipes I get to try a whole lot of recipes that I have never heard of before.She also sent me a a pad of paper shaped like a Christmas tree that I can hang the fridge and make my grocery lists out to try these.Thanks so much Susie.
My packages will go Friday or Saturday.

(Now I'm feeling guilty about not getting my own recipe exchange out in the mail today... don't worry friends, they're all packed up and shipping tomorrow.)

I received a collection of cookbooks from Susie in Alabama (Sgfala?? Is that you??) and a sweet little pad of Christmas note paper. How thoughtful! I looked through the books and can see why it was difficult to pick a recipe -- I found several to try. (Mmmmmm Baby Ruth Cookies!!! Definitely one to try this Christmas.) Thank you!!! It was fun receiving the package today -- I must admit it took me a few seconds to realize what it was when the package first arrived. I kept looking at the return address thinking, "But I don't know anyone in Alabama." Maybe it was the snow we had in Boston today -- my brain wasn't quite working. (Not ready for winter yet.)

We're sunny, gorgeous and about 62º today. Loving it!! Very unusual for us...no rain!!

No hurry on getting you rpackage out (but earlier is always better).......mail by date is Oct. 31st

Poohshoney, the postage is more expensive than the thing you are sending most of the time.

Which is the main reason mine is not choc full of goodies like a lot of you. It has extras, but not heavy stuff, the postage really kills that

Mine will be going out this weekend or Monday. I'm amazed that I'm actually having a hard time finding Cookie Cutters!!! What's up with that? So, I'm going to a new round of stores bright and early Saturday morning. I have tons of recipes (ouch, copied by hand) but I just HAVE to have the neat goodies to send along with them! So... I will make the deadline.

You know....it took me a long time to find cookie cutters too.
I looked all over and then finally found them at a craft store.

Finally! I have been home with sick kids all week. I had planned to mail the pkgs on Tuesday, but, it didn't work out! My sister was off today, so she came and sat with the kids so I could go to the post office. The lady at the post office assured me that the pkgs should arrive Monday at their destinations! One to MA and the other to NH.
I am not as creative as some of you, but I hope my recipients enjoy their pkgs! I had fun putting them together! Can't wait to hear from you!!!!!!!
