#1 on my list of Super park rules is: Do not run around on your first day. You will have plenty of time to do that later. (rule #2 is: do not buy anything on your first day. Except an autograph book, pen and postcards)
:thumbsup2 Good Rules!

So I go on up to Mr. Smee and the Captain and the both kiss my hand. Mr. Smee tries to flirt with me as the Captain signs my book. Then Captain Hook Starts flirting with me…until he saw my engagement ring! Oooooooh, he got MAD. He looked at Steve and pretended to take my ring off, put it in his pocket and drag me away.

I’m one of those people that gets Reallllllllly nervous if I know something is coming and they’re just playing with me till it comes. i was too nervous to enjoy any of the ride. I’m always like this the first time I ride anything I know has a big drop/is really fast etc. That’s why I ride them twice. So I can actually ENJOY THE RIDE.]

Okie, this was supposed to be about fantasyland, yes? Well, I’ve forgotten to add something into my story. My story is not complete unless we talk more about my kitty, Olly. As we all recall, he’s staying at my mothers for the time we’re gone.

She already has 3 cats. We figured it’d be a good test to see if he was “kitty-friendly” so that when we move we can get another cat. Anyway…some tales about him till up to this point:

The morning we’re at the airport I called my mother to tell her I was getting on the plane. (I was required to call before and after. Just so she knew. She is my mother.) if I hadn’t been instructed to call her, I would have had to anyway, because Steve wanted to know about the cat. So I called.
And my sister answered the phone (she’s 10)
“hi Tara”
“hey Victoria. Can I talk to mommy really fast?”
“you can try. She’s trying to get Olly out from behind the dryer.”

Oh geez…

It seems as though my cat that it would be a fabulous idea to jump down behind the dryer. Without figuring out that there would be no way out except for my mother to unhook the dryer and pull it out so he could escape.

Her last words before we hung up:
“I’ll get him out from behind here before I go to work. I just have to move the dryer first”

Okay, so we’ve landed in Florida. In between dragging a carry on and a huge bag and my checked luggage, I’ve managed to turn my phone on and (big surprise) I have a message. Mostly because I didn’t call AS SOON as we landed. I waited a whole 15 minutes.

“Tara! This is your mother! Why haven’t you called yet?! Are you okay?! Anyways, you better call me back!! Oh, and your cat pooped behind my dryer. You can clean it up when you get back. Love you! Call me! Bye!”

We’ll leave it at that for tonight……….
Next up: really chapter 6. (wednesday. it'll be longer. promise!)

Great job so far, but I can't tune in Wed. because that's when we get to Orlando! :woohoo:
You're worrying me about the cat. Ours is staying home and my niece is coming by to check on her. I hope she doesn't poop anywhere she shouldn't (the cat, not my niece).

I'll read more when I get back, maybe copy paste just inserting my DH's name in your report (JK).

Oh why Oh why do you keep leaving us in suspense. You promised last week you were gonna catch up on Monday. Now Wednesday!!! Wait I better be quiet because It will probably take me months to post one!!!!

What a fun report! :goodvibes

I'm glad I found it. :thumbsup2

Today is Wednesday, where is the next installment?! :confused3

It's still early, folks! it's only 7:30!!

Sorry it took all day, Steve had a hospital visit today for an Endoscopy. All went well, i just spent a good chunk of the day waiting for him to wake up and be well enough to come home.

He's sleeping now, so i had some time to write!

Enjoy!!

Chapter 7: peter pan, pooh and snow white? No thanks!! Philharmagic, yes! Space mountain…well…..
(jeeeez…this is still day 2?!)

Okay, so here we are. Back in florida. Walking past the haunted mansion into Fantasyland. Fantasyland is my favorite. Mostly because it has It’s a Small world, which, as previously noted, is my absolute FAVORITE ride EVER.
‘cuz I’m a freakin’ dork.
Anyway. We are here. And standing outside. And I am giving Steve my best puppy dog eyes.
“puh-leeeeeeeeeeeeeeze?”
“no”
“but I promise I won’t ask you to do anyyyyyyyyyyything else.”
“no”
“BUT I WANNA GO!”
“no”
Anyone who was in Magic Kingdom on June 14th around 2:15pm around the stroller parking area by it’s a small world witnessed a 19-year-old girl whine and basically throw a temper tantrum to go on the ride. Just once! I even brought his iPod so he didn’t have to listen to “THAT (EXPLETIVE) SONG”

He pulled me away to Mickey’s Philharmagic, where I promptly got fastpasses. And I headed back towards it’s a small world. He tried again.
“lets go on Peter pan.”
“um, I’m not going on peter pan”
“why not?”
This is why not:

peterpan2.jpg

And so, with crushing defeat, and realizing there was less than a 20 minute wait and we had to kill an hour anyway, we got in line for it’s a small world. YAY!
Grumbles, however, are coming from the other camp.
“I don’t wanna ride this ride. This song is the worst song ever invented. And I’m thirsty. Where’d that water bottle go? I can’t believe I’m getting on this dumb ride. You owe me BIG TIME.”
Whatever.
I haven’t been on this ride since they restored it. (duh. I haven’t been there in 6 years.) it was so fabulous. Soooooooo fabulous. It was the absolute BEST ride I rode all day. And Steve?
“it wasn’t too bad. I didn’t realized they played the song in all those languages. I just wish it wouldn’t be stuck in my head for the rest of the day.” HA. Baby.
And so, with a little while left to kill we did some shopping. Because really, I’ve been on Pooh, Snow White and Peter Pan. And really they’re not worth waiting in line for an hour and a half. I bought a tinkerbell necklace and we briefly considered getting kaylie a magic wand until we realized it would be used against the cat during “kitty play time” and she would be mad she wouldn’t be able to turn him into something else. I probably bought another pin too, seeing as I can’t find the receipts for a few of them. I developed an obsession with this pin thing. Just one more thing Steve thought I was nuts about.
(he still thinks I’m nuts too, because I just bought one off of Disney.com. hey, it was 3 bucks!!)

And so, with our mini-shopping excursion complete, we head over to Philharmagic. Because it’s time.

Apparently time to sit and wait. Because even with our fastpass that’s what we did. We waited. And waited. And waited. Then they let us go inside and we got our glasses and went to wait for the doors to open. And waited. And waited. And then guess what we did?

Oh, yeah. We waited! JEEZ. We waited for….29 minutes from the time we gave our tickets to the lady to the time those doors opened. With Fastpasses. This right here was the longest we waited in line for ANYTHING. The entire trip. Notice I said “in line” there are other things that we waited WAY longer for. But we weren’t in line for those. It was a great show though. Steve liked it a whole super lot because it had Donald. Steve loves Donald. He’s right up there with the Tigger-man. I thought it was pretty neat too, and we briefly toyed with getting in line again. Then thought better. And so we headed off to…Tomorrowland!
I know, I know. We skipped a whole lot of rides. I don’t really want to hear it. He simply wouldn’t have liked them. And we’re on a wooing mission, remember? And besides, tomorrowland has lots of rides he was going to like.

First up: well, duh. Space mountain. The sign said 60 minutes. We got in line anyway, mostly because, well, it’s Space mountain and also because we were HOT. And wanted to be somewhere COLD. Wanna know how long we waited in line for? Yeah. 17 minutes. YES! I’m not kidding. Steve looked at me as I put the time in my phone (which on this ride I did as we walked to the line where they split us into 2 groups. Yes? We all know where I’m talking about? K, good.) because I didn’t want to be entering times in a $300.00 phone when I’m about to take off to rocket around space.

I’ve only ridden space mountain one time before, on my last trip. With my mom, the coaster junkie, who had no one to ride with so she made me go. Those benches as soon as you get off the ride are a good idea. Because I nearly passed out. I was so freaked out at my first rollercoaster experience that I more or less forgot to breathe.

So, yes, I could win the “50 questions with Steve about this ride” game. And this time I could actually walk off the ride and not have to sit down for 5 minutes! Steve announced that we had to do that ride again, but not right now. And so we headed over to carousel of progress. I thought he might not like it, but took a chance. We spent a good deal of time arguing over who was moving, us or the stage. Finally he conceded defeat. (because we are moving folks, yes we are.)
Then we got in line for Buzz. Another one with over a 60 minute wait at this point (being like 4pm) Luck worked for us again and we got on the ride in less that 20 minutes.
I should have never taken him on this ride. He is a video game master. I thought I did good (my score was something like 10000 and some change.) HE MORE THAN TRIPLED MY SCORE. Whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat?
I didn’t even want to ride it again, I was so mad. Needless to say I didn’t buy that picture either.
Then we ran over to the people mover. Oh wait, what’s it called now? Oh, The Tomorrowland transit authority. Whatever. Actually, I ran, steve complained that his feet hurt and trotted behind me. Why is there never any line for this ride? It’s pretty cool. Do people not know it’s there? Well, for whatever reason, we didn’t wait. We were having fantastic line luck. Which doesn’t happen at Disney. Everyone is always there right before you are.
After riding Transit authority, we walked through some shops and headed to:

toontown.jpg

Don’t get excited. We didn’t do much there. We did go to the bathroom and reapply sunscreen. We did walk around a bit. We were going to meet Minnie, Daisy and someone else I forget who. But after waiting in line for 35 minutes and still had only moved maybe 20 feet, we ditched that quick. Like the milk I made Steve throw away when we got home. And it’s kinda late now. 5:30-6ish. And steve’s feet are hurting and he is whining. But I wanted to see Wishes! So we hopped on the:

And we rode it around the park. And again. And again. 4 times we rode it around the park. Because his feet hurt. Finally, I admitted defeat. I told him that we could leave and he could go rest his baby feet if we could come back and watch wishes another night.
And so. We leave. I was sad. But I owed grumpy pants for riding my ride. Besides, he still had a while to go, we had to monorail to the TTS, then monorail to EPCOT then walk to the very hot car. Then we went back to POP. And he rested his feet. And I went in the pool. And I watched a girl do those hair wrap things, which I’ve always wanted just never allowed to get.
It was another early night for us. Don’t expect much partying from us folks. We go to bed early. Because we like to sleep, which we do rarely. And besides, I made him promise we were staying to see Illuminations at EPCOT tomorrow. (well, really, we had no choice, we had ADRs for 7..hehehehe)

Next Up: Does Tara find a new favorite ride? And steve finds his favorite. Plus: We meet mia from Italy.

Here's some random "artsy" pictures to hold you over till next time:
