OMG, men bug. Steve is like a younger version of my DH and I'm sorry to say it doesn't get any better.

Apparently, yelling at that dude gave him some energy.

I instantly feel bonded with Steve. LOVED that. I have told a few people off like that at DLR and it's good for the soul. Someone's got to set them straight.

We loved Crush, too. Great show.

At least YOU got to rush through WS twice. I had to rush once and be satisfied with that! Next time, we are rushing twice, dang it!


Love the update. Looking forward to the next (when you are able to get to it).

I loved the part when Steve told off the guy in UoE. Some people are so oblivious. I'm proud of you for enrolling in classes. A degree usually means you get paid better for having to deal with the same stupid people

Chapter 10: Maybe we’ll meet mia this time and…do we have to stay for the fireworks?!


Dear DISUNC:
Please excuse Tara from her tardiness writing her trip report. She’s been busy. School, 2 jobs, leaving a job for another then leaving her other job to look for something that doesn’t involve being up in the middle of the night. She’s pooped. Plus her desktop computer with all her beautiful pictures has no internet connection because it’s got a virus, therefore there will be no pictures in this chapter. Sucks for you. Sorry for the inconvience, it will not happen again.

Okay, where were we? We are outside crush. I’m desperately trying to convince Steven that we need to do more shopping to kill time. HE, however is busying being a whiney pants because we “SHOULD HAVE” taken a break, gone back to the POP and come back for dinner.

Newbie.

So we shopped. Actually, we window shopped because I didn’t buy anything. Grumpy wouldn’t let me. We walked Back through the Canada-eh side all the way around to Japan, where we walked through the store trying to convince him yet again, that he could pick something out…we really could spend money. My exact words:

“you know how we haven’t had anything ‘extra’ at the house lately? It’s so you can BUY STUFF HERE. BUY SOMETHING. I don’t tell you this very often.!!!”

Poopy pants says to me: “yeah, I’m gonna buy a new car when I get home.”

What a brat. I told him if he was really that grumpy and really that tired, he could skip dinner and take the car back to the POP, and I would go to dinner, watch the fireworks and take the bus back later.

He didn’t want to drive. So guess what we did for the 45 minutes before our ressie? That’s right, we sat on a bench in the shade and people-watched. Finally I told him we should just go check in early at Alfredos.

So we did. And got seated maybe 6 minutes later. Our waitress was Mia. She was from …crap, I forget where, naples? Is that in Italy? Maybe not. Anyway she was from Italy and worked at the real Alfredos in Italy. They do sorta a transfer program type thing. She had only been over here for a year or so. She was awesome. I never had an empty glass, and my pasta was good….but I didn’t like it. Good thing steve did and he ordered something I could eat, so we switched. He actually ate most of his dinner before turning pasty white and getting nauseous. He chalked it up to not eating all day and actually having ‘real food’ for dinner. If you ever eat at Alfredos, request mia. She’s awesome! We even got to see pictures of her in italy as a little girl. (we left her like 25 bucks for a tip on a 60 dollar meal. We’re suckers)

After dinner, we ( I ) decided that we should find a spot for Illuminations. Because I’m not stupid and it was 8:15, and all the good spots were already taken. so we walked back around and found a spot kinda by the boat launch. And we sat. and for the 45th time I had to have this conversation with Steve:

“fireworks are dumb”
“not all fireworks are dumb”
“I’ve seen fireworks at the park, I don’t understand how these are going to be any different”
“you are such a loser. This is DISNEYWORLD, not the park! They’re a BILLION times better than some moron setting himself on fire at the park”
“what’s the point? They’re still dumb!”
“these are not dumb. Just trust me. I know we’ve been here all day, but trust me. Now I’m going over there to buy an Epcot pin”

And I left him with the extra dinner and my bag, and took my pin-wanting self over to buy a pin.

I didn’t want to hear anymore anti-firework campaign, because I really wanted to see wishes. And I KNEW he was going to like Illuminations, which meant he would go see wishes and fantasmic. I just had to get him to sit through it.

So I bought an Epcot pin. And a test track pin. Because Disney has sucked me into yet another money making scheme.

Does anyone blame me for wanting to work in marketing there? These people have to be geniuses!

And I went back to Steve. The near-darkness had brought cooler temperatures, duh, and he was much more comfortable. I actually had a nice conversation with him. He liked Magic Kingdom but he liked Epcot a LOT. (he’s very into different cultures, so I figured he would) He liked all of the coasters at Magic Kingdom, but he Loved Test track and Soarin’. In general, he likes Epcot, a lot.

But then Illuminations started.

And he stole the camera. The disposable one. This is a bad reoccurring event.

After Illuminations, as we were being driven like cattle out of the park he looks at me and says….

“that was freaking awesome!!”

I rest my case.

Up Next: what are we doing today? How about we do nothing. Plus: my sunburn problem. And the arcade.


PS just so you know. Disposable cameras don’t work in the dark taking pictures of fireworks. FYI

Great update!! I tried to convey to my bf about the awesomeness (even a word?) that is Disney firework shows but he can't even comprehend it. No firework shows come close to touching WDW fireworks, especially Illuminations. I'm glad he enjoyed them!!
