You're right and if I was at the point where we didn't already have plane tickets and bought gift cards for our meals and our park tickets I'd say we wouldn't go. All of this money was made by renting our incentive points.

I'd take the loss on the plane tickets and sell the gift cards.

That's a ridiculous suggestion. If I were the OP, I sure as heck wouldn't BUY airplane tickets at this juncture if they hadn't already done so. This may very well be the last vacation they are able to take for a while; if they can do so on a budget, I say more power to them.

In the current economy, I feel lucky to be gainfully employed and even more blessed to have my DVC ownership. I am not going to judge the OP and I hope they recover from this difficult situation soon.
