We didn't even get on any rides because the traffic into the park took hours, then we waited to get in, then we ate and they told my boyfriend his food was gluten free/made in a dedicated fryer and it wasn't so he got sick. The lines looked insane though that day. My boyfriend only wants to go back to Disney and Universal now (no complaints here!)

So we canceled our Six Flags passes, and we bought Disney and Universal Aps this year. Our closest park is kind of nice (it was built around the time of
Disneyland and has a fairytale/storybook section and a very small Cinderella Castle), but lacking in the ride department so ultimately it's not worth multiple trips a year.
Oh man, that stinks about your boyfriends food

It's not surprising though that they aren't nearly as good about allergies as Disney. But very dangerous..... the fairytale/storybook section sounds interesting! I'm going to have to look that up.
The funniest thing is people there refer to the rides by Disney names I heard one lady ask someone where the Haunted Mansion was.
This is funny, because Steve kept referring to their "express pass" as FP and I had to keep correcting him. And we all kept referring to Congo Rapids as Kali
The comments about Ricky not living with you are hilarious!
It's like sacrilege the things he said
I read the same thing. With the projections on the great movie ride I'm thinking its worth it, plus I know Jason and I could more than drink our monies worth. Just on the fence about the little one
I'm leaning more and more towards doing this just for the view. I've been reading a few more comments and reviews on here and, as much as I wasn't AS impressed with the projections when I watched the Livestream the other night, I know Steve and I will both hate not being able to see much and I definitely want to be able to see all the fireworks. Going to decide over the weekend
We went to Busch Gardens here in VA a few weeks ago and had almost the same experience. I think the busch parks are about as close to Disney as you're gonna get, but still just falling short. But like you the lines were non existent. If only we could say the same thing at WDW
We've done that Busch Gardens, I believe the last time we went the boys were 9 and 6. It was nice; fun. I agree about the Busch parks being the closest to Disney. I'd go back if we decide to go to Va. Beach again but I'm not
dying to go back, We were there late Aug. that time and no crowds either!
Wow, that is crazy close. Like giraffe is gonna eat ya kinda close.
This guy was right up next to our vehicle! We could have petted him if we wanted to. With the exception of the lions, tigers, and bears (OH MY!) pretty much all the other animals could and did come right up to the vehicle doors, there isn't anything holding them back. When you could drive through in your car you had to keep your windows up because the animals came up to the car and often sniffed at your windows.......
Holy crap you are braver than me. My 40 something self just isn't up to these things anymore. My brother got me on 2 at Busch Gardens, including the one Fabio got hit with a bird on a few years ago. About half way up the 200 foot hill it dawn on me that I was afraid of heights
I'm 45 and other than things like BTMMR, RnRC and Splash, I only started enjoying crazy coasters about 5 years ago! I figure I gotta die sometime........
OMG I remember when Fabio got hit, that was freakin' hysterical. If that happened now there would be meme's all over the place about it!
I don't know where I am working yet but I will for sure let you know! I would love to meet you guys and get a picture!
Definitely!
We went to Six Flags Great America, which is near Chicago, a couple weeks ago. I had to constantly keep reminding myself that we were not at Disney. However the pricing for parking and food at SF GA were pricier than at Disney, so I think that means the quality should be better, which it was not.
With what we paid for tickets, parking, and the nasty food we could have booked 2 nights CL at pretty much any deluxe resort

It was crazy. Our lunch, which was counter service, was $89 for 5 people!!! We've paid upwards of $60 at Disney QS but the food was much better and.....you know, it's Disney. And this food was BAD

I also noticed that funnel cake, smaller than you get at Disney, was $11.99. Needless to say nobody got funnel cake!
Wow that is a close up picture of a giraffe!
Yup! I will admit this safari has one thing over KS, and that's that the animals come RIGHT up to your vehicle. I can understand why Disney doesn't have it that way but it's still cool.
My younger brother was the exact same way as a preteen. He is now 17 and probably spends more time doing his hair in the morning than I do, so there is hope!
Ricky is like that now with his hair! If he's shave his head he could sleep like an extra 20 minutes in the morning! Chris? Yeah, he can roll out of bed 10 minutes before he has to go somewhere regardless of hair length
