I love wawa!!!

I just had to resurrect this thread, because I just got back from a weekend in Wildwood, and got some great shots of the retro 50's Wawa down there!

I may have posted pics of it before in this thread, but the ones I had from a couple years ago weren't so great. I got two great ones this time:

I thought you might enjoy those pics (I think they're so cute! :cutie: ) as I sit here enjoying my freshly brewed Wawa coffee from the grounds I bought there. Mmmmm.... :surfweb:

I swear this store was put on this earth in order to please me. I love the cheap gas, I love the convenience store, love the milkshakes there, and tonight...I REALLY had to go #1 on the way home so I stopped in there while getting gas and I usually hate those hand dryers but the one at wawa I think was built by Tim Allen on Home Improvement cuz its super charged! (arrhh arrhhh arrhhh)...it dried my hands in a matter of seconds.

If I could marry a store, Wawa would definitely be it.

:teeth:

WaWa will forever remind me of going on vacation. When had a house at the Jersey shore as a kid a remember when they opened WaWa on the corner, we spent many times in the candy section there.
As an adult we stop at this one WaWa on the way to the airport everytime we go away and the same one everytime we go to the shore. How can I not be anything but happy when see WaWa?

I was in Wildwood Saturday night! We probably passed each other.

It IS pretty funny! You were down for the weekend? We just ran down for the night to walk the boards a little bit.

Now get out of here and get back to where you belong. :rotfl:

LOL!!! We were down for a long weekend, Saturday-Monday with some friends from CT. It was PERFECT weather and we had a blast! Stinks to be back!

Alas, I will keep to myself up here in good ole Ocean County! HMPH! :snooty:

No silly...I meant back to CC and Explorer. :rolleyes1

You can add Central NJ to that list too! There are some North too, but you have to look for them, but they are there :thumbsup2

We used to have them--the one that I'm thinking of may still be one, but I think it changed to Welsh Farms.
Regardless, I never knew they were something to be excited over.
I've been in it but it was just like another convenience store..and any convenience store without Slurpees pales in comparison to 7-11 for that reason alone.;)

LOL! Maybe they weren't the same up here? It was never a place that anyone talked about or loved that I can recall.
Icees are okay, but they're not Slurpees. Don't ask me why, they just aren't.;)

Ahhh...well all my girlfriends are headed to PA in the Fall!!! We will have to check WAWA out!!! :thumbsup2 Such a funny name...what does WAWA stand for....

LOL...Wawa is the name of the PA town where their headquarters is located. :)

Actually funny story you made me think of....

When I was about 7, they built the very first Wawa a couple blocks from my house. A friend and I walked to it alone one day, and I was so proud of myself! lol So I called my grandmother all excited and said "Grandma, I just walked to Wawa all by myself!!" Her reply? "WHAT is a Wawa????" :rotfl:

Here's the history directly from the website:

Our Rich History
1800s
The Company was founded in 1803 in New Jersey, and incorporated in 1865 as the Millville Manufacturing Company, a textile company with mills in several states and sales offices across the country.

1902
In 1902, George Wood, Millville's owner, opened a small milk plant in Wawa, PA, which specialized in processing, and the home delivery of "doctor certified" milk. The Wawa Dairy enjoyed a reputation for superior fresh products and customer service.
