I love jetBlue - and why

I have a (non-Disney) trip booked next month. I'm perfectly satisfied with the fare I paid; I think it's entirely reasonable for flying almost all the way across the country, and back. I have no intention of following up to see if the fare drops.

Very, very early this morning - with the trip a month away - I decided to try a "dummy" booking just to see if I could determine how full each flight is. Yes, I know, unassigned seats aren't an accurate indication of available seats :teeth:

My fare dropped $82. I called, and started the conversation by saying, "I completely understand if you say no, but...". We had a great conversation, and when I told the CSR my actual intention, she checked each flight and let me know how empty (today; and I know it'll change) each flight is.

Oh. And I have that $82 credit in my TrueBlue account. And some tips on couponing and where to shop at my destination :).
 
I've had really good experiences with Jetblue, and I feel like their prices are very reasonable. I'm glad they helped you out!
 
I have always had great interaction with the JB people. Only one time was I disappointed that I couldn't have what I wanted. I had a flight to MCO last Dec...made my flight plans as soon as they opened that window. My dd really wanted to go with me, but since she was a senior at the time, and was having some issues with her math class, I told her that if she got a B, I would allow her to miss the four days of school. Well, she got a B+!! So, I had to book her about 90 days prior to travel. Got a decent fare, but wasn't able to tie the two reservations together!! That meant I had to constantly watch to make sure they didn't make any changes that would have put us on different flights!!!
 

Our return flight from MCO to EWR last month was delayed 2 hrs, JB gave us a $50 credit that we'll use next Oct. I don't think they were required to do this, we've been delayed on Delta and USAir a similar time with no compensation. Also, we all got free use of the pay per view movies on the flight.

I did a search to see where best to post my experience today and this is certainly the spot (funny timing).

I wanted to share our good fortune in the hopes that someone else can also benefit. I had been holding off on booking our Dec. flight tickets on JetBlue in part due to over-obsessive planning (leave early and go to a park/or DTD, or leave later and just relax at the hotel). I was also hoping we could snag a good deal. Finally this past Sun, just a month away from our trip, we decided it was time to book and we did so at a pretty low rate.

This morning I get an email from JetBlue saying, “book now - big savings” and sure enough my family of 4 could have saved $152 round trip on the exact same flight. I chalked it up to bad luck but wasn’t too upset given we still got a good rate. However, I figured a call to JetBlue was worth a shot – worst they would say is sorry we can’t do anything. Turns out JetBlue’s policy is to match their own price drop by issuing credit for future flights. Sure waiting would have just saved us the money but that ship had sailed. To me, we got really lucky booking with JetBlue and now have a reason to return to Disney again within a year!:cool1:

Hope this helps someone else save a little money.

I am happy to hear good reviews of JetBLue. I am flying JetBlue next week EWR-MCO (and back 12/1). I have not flown since 2000 and my SN DD has never flown (and it will be surprise to her :eek:). I need all the good luck I can get, so I am glad to hear good things about my airline.
 
I've flown Jet Blue for years and have always been very happy with their flights and their customer service. :cool1:
