I LOVE Gmail!

When you get an invoice and it includes a UPS tracking number, a link automatically comes up on the left side that says "Would you like to: TRACK UPS PACKAGE?" and has a link that lets you go to the UPS tracking website! I love it :cool1: It's as if the email has a brain!

Also whenever there is an address in a message that same thing pops up only asking if you want to see a map of the address!

This just blows Yahoo and everything else I've ever used out of the water.

I agree! I got it a year ago and absolutely love it. And I love how messages are tabbed in one conversation instead of having 15 emails from the same person during the same conversation.

I have G-mail but don't use it but how is this different than clicking on a tracking link embedded in a sales receipt using regular email?

Well, a lot of them don't send them embedded. I just got a receipt from an an Amazon.com Marketplace seller. It wasn't embedded so I would have had to copy and paste. And with regular Amazon.com, the link takes you to Amazon, then you have to login -- this is just much easier.

I love my Gmail too. I like how you can archive certain emails to keep from accidently deleting them. I've archived pictures, resumes & important documents this way by emailing them to myself. People often use the 2Gb as off-computer back-up storage. :thumbsup2

I don't like how the messages are tabbed in one conversation though. I sometimes get confused in thinking I've already read the email when I haven't. I wish there was a button that would give us the option to list new emails separately and then put them into one conversation later for archiving.

I also wish they would make it so that when you use your mouse to scroll over text to copy, you can then use your right mouse button to copy the text. The way it is now, you have to switch to the keyboard shortcut: Ctrl + C to copy.

And Gmail definitely needs Smilies! :dance3:

BTW: anyone who wants a Gmail invite, (you need one of those to open your own free Gmail account) can get one free from any one of us who already has an account. :thumbsup2 Just list you need one here, or PM someone here. :)

Whoops! Double post. DIS server problems again. :(

Gmail is amazing. Not to mention it gives you wayyy more storage space then you would ever possibly need (ive got 150 emails in my inbox and im not even using 1% of my allowed capacity!!)
