I love credit cards so much!

We have had a bunch of sick kids at our house too. No vomiting, thank goodness, just really bad colds. When my DS9 spends more than 10 mins on a couch you know something is wrong. He didn't get off the couch for an entire day....both boys actually...on Christmas Eve.

My DH wrapped me up some mickey ears for Christmas and when I opened them, told me I could buy my AP. Soooo exciting! Bucket list!:P I am getting the discounted GC so I can upgrade my 2 day ticket to an AP when I am there in Jan. When do apps open for the next round of DCP?

I'm sorry your boys were sick on Christmas Eve! We had the bad cold thing a couple of weeks before Thanksgiving. Both my boys ran fevers (104 for my 7yo - he runs hot always!) but he ran a fever for 48 hours straight. Just wiped him out. He still has some congestion from that cold so I took him in last week and the doctor said congestion could last 6 weeks after a viral infection, which was new to me, but it does seem to finally be lessening. He feels fine and plays fine so not worrying about it.

How fun that you are getting an AP too!!! It's a bucket list thing for me as well, and I hope if my dd gets into DCP, that I can get one but we'd need 5 AP's so it just may not happen. I was hoping to keep my boys out of homeschool co-op next fall, and have dd16 take just online college classes so we could head to WDW a lot but my dd's dance studio is putting her on pointe so missing a lot of next fall isn't gonna happen.

My dd18 said the apps for fall 2019 drop about the end of Jan/beg Feb.

Nooooooooo. Can't let go of my old YNAB budget. I like comparing year to year, and I'm not sure how I would do that if I started a new budget.
I just open one year in one tab and the other in another tab... But I am spoiled with multiple monitors at work and at home because of DHs work.

I hate the cash too. It's the main reason I decided to keep my Chase account open after doing the bank bonus, because it's right by the house. A lot of times if it's not a ton of cash, I throw it in our GC safe with our APs and such and we take it on trips for tipping/just in case. The bad times are right now, because we both just got a chunk of cash for Christmas so it's a couple hundred bucks - we don't need that much sitting around!

We also have Chase accounts just for this reason...there is a Chase on every corner down here in Littleton just like a Starbucks on every corner...so super convenient to deposit our cash. I do occasionally have cash to deposit and my dd's definitely do since they both babysit a lot. It's common for them to come home with $50-$80 in cash from most babysitting jobs. Crazy how much people pay for sitters these days!

If I could find my chase United mailer..... how does that work? Is there a spot on the application to put a certain number for the 50,000 point offer instead of the current offer? Is there a different weblink to go to? I can see it on my Informed Delivery, just wondering if the number I need is on that front page or is there a whole separate weblink inside that I cannot see?

United has a 65,000 offer now - no mailer needed.

Ahh I do see "offer valid one time only" text. Hmm interesting. I used the Vudu one what I thought was multiple times, but am realizing it was once on the CSR and once on the CSP. Maybe I will take one for the team to be a DP! Whats the worst that could happen, more Disney gift cards? lol

It depends on the offer so you have to read each one, most are one time only but others can be used multiple times until you hit the max (or it expires). Starbucks is frequently a multiple use and the one I used for Advance Auto Parts was multiple use too. It's more common to be one time use though so I just assume that.

I am wondering what to do about this as well. I have been in process of moving all our account away from Wells Fargo. I am ready to close the last one (checking), but I moved everything to ally. So what do I do if I need to deposit cash? I guess since I don't have cash very often I will just keep it to use (gasp). I have been hesitant to close that WF checking because of this and anything else I am overlooking but I need to do it before they start charging it a monthly fee.

I know you are moving soon-ish so not sure if you want to look for somewhere that has locations in both cities, but I have found local banks that have the least amount of fees and frequently have completely free checking accounts. That way I don't have to worry about keeping a balance in it or having to have a transaction to avoid fees. My main bank is a small local bank with a completely free checking account, free ATM access within the network and even gave me a free set of checks. So could maybe find one of those in the short term and just close it when you move. But I'd close the WF regardless if you're sure all the automatic payments have been switched over. I think you'd find it could be several months before you need an actual bank location :) Then in the meanwhile you could search around for a good fit, maybe one with a bonus. I think you said moving back to Charlestown? There's a PNC branch there, which would be good for a bonus on top. Usually in a city where there is a branch there's also ATM's scattered around where you can deposit cash. (Although we could be spoiled because PNC is a PA bank so maybe that's why there's ATMs everywhere)

Thanks, but not interested in spending $10,000 to get the bonus.

So has anyone here had 3 Chase business cards, canceled one (so gone down to 2), and then applied for another business card again a couple months later? I have both Marriott Biz and SPG Biz. January will be one year with my Marriott Biz so I'm thinking maybe I'll get my free night and close that and keep SPG Biz. I'd rather have the Amex offers that come with that card, plus I like some of the spending categories. So then I was thinking that maybe I could pick up a CIC a couple months later. Thoughts?

Chase Cards:
9/17- CSP (downgraded to CFU 10/18)
10/17- CF
1/18- Marriott Biz
5/18- CIP
11/18- CIU

I would wait until at least June 2019 before getting the CIC so then I'd only have one business card within the last 12 months.

They are everywhere! I keep $2k in my savings here just for the peace of mind that if pressed I should be able to walk out with a big chunk of cash in the same day.

I don't have three Chase biz...YET!...but your plan seems really doable. I'd just get all your credit limits as low as you can go. No reason why you shouldn't be approved from what I can see!

Yeah I'd definitely need to lower my credit limits this time around... I didn't do it before my CIU. I couldn't believe they didn't say anything about it, but they gave me yet another $8000 lol. That would be great if I could get it and that could be another $500 to Disney...

I don’t have an answer to your question but am hoping to do something similar for DH. He got the CIP in March 2018, CIC in May 2018 and was just approved for SW Biz with a Dec. 24, 2018 application date. I am planning to cancel his CIP when he gets to his anniversary and then have him apply for CIU.

Think you’ll be fine.and could probably apply sooner if you wanted to .....I have 3 Chase business cards....SW 10/17, CIP 5/18 and CIC 10/18....so 3 in 12 months....I always lower credit limits on my existing cards prior to applying.....will probably apply for the CIU in January or February 2019

was going to cancel the SW card after the annual fee posted but they offered me a $100 statement credit so I kept in open...will definitely cancel in 10/19, if the rules stay the same..since I want to go for the CP again for 2020/2021

Small failure today. See I have another staples 10% off on my IHG. Was just there to buy non-GC stuff but didn’t have my IHG card (why is my large card wallet at home????). So I missed out on $1.50.

Your Chase IHG? I don't show any offers on my chase IHG. When I check in the app the only cards that show for rewards is my CSR, and my debit card on my bank account. How do I get my IHG to show?

Does anyone know, can someone use their AA miles and book a ticket for you? I'm short miles, my BF has more right now. Could he use his miles to book a ticket under my name? It's not worth the fees associated with transferring them.
