I love credit cards so much!

And on a CC note, $200 of the $250 delta giftcards have been reimbursed on my Aspire have been reimbursed! I'm not worried about the last one since I just bought it yesterday :)

So now I guess I wait and play the game again in 2019. Woooo "free" flights!

Does anyone know, can someone use their AA miles and book a ticket for you? I'm short miles, my BF has more right now. Could he use his miles to book a ticket under my name? It's not worth the fees associated with transferring them.

I would think it shouldn't be a problem. I had lots of miles and booked 3 seats overseas from my Aadvantage account (one for me, one for DH and one for DD). It wasn't an issue at all.

They do give you 6 months to spend the $10,000. So it is very doable for us. Maybe I should just go for this offer.
I tried to go back and look but didn't see which offer y'all are talking about. I kind of have enough on my plate right now but just curious :D

That is for the United card. I just went for it. lol Auto approved for $9,000, which put me at $72,000 with Chase. Though I did just product change my CSP to a CFU and lowered that limit about 30 minutes before the app. lol So now I am at $61,000. Though I see it says CFU online now, but the limit did not change yet. Should probably lower some more. $10,000 should be easily doable in 6 months and I don't have many apps on my radar at the minute, though this thread makes me FOMO too easily.

Does anyone know with Chase if you're over 5/24....can you product change from say a Slate to a CFU? When I asked in the bank he had said he didn't think I could. But I was talking about the Ink before I asked so maybe he thought I wanted to go from the slate to the Ink.

Woohoo, flights to MCO just dropped another 1400pts each!

I'm just curious, do you have some type of alert set up, or do you simply check often? P2 likes SW so I'm looking for tips for brownie points.

No judgment if you're just checking several times per day. We've all been there.

Just got a call from my mother that my grandmother had just passed away. I am glad we were able to make the trek to NH on Christmas Eve to see her. My grandparents live right behind my parents, so after dinner, my bother and our DWs took my grandfather some food down to say hi and see how they both were. We walk in and he has the TV on a station playing Christmas music with the fireplace on the screen. Off on the side he had the little LED Christmas tree plugged in (pic attached). He went into their bedroom to make sure she was awake. We walked in and said hi, to which she just smiled and nodded. On their dresser was a beautiful bouquet of the prettiest roses I had ever seen, illuminated by the light on the dresser. He told us it was his final gift to her on Earth. He even set a small radio in the room so she could listen to Christmas music. The rest is history but the memories live on.

Sorry for the long post but I wanted to share it here, with my friends.

I hope everyone has a wonderful New Year!

Sports are the only reason I haven't 'cut the cord' yet. We've had NFL Sunday Ticket before and it IS crazy expensive....DH has tried to talk me into getting it again and there is no way I can stomach that bill.
It really is nauseating. DH says, well at least I don't have to go to a restaurant to watch and pay for food.

I had one credit from my CSR. Took 4 days to post. I also had one post from Lowes, took 7-8 days to post. Inconsistent at best. I like how the AMex offers show immediately!
Hmmnn, I wonder if I have the receipts anymore. I went to Panera specifically to use the offers. :badpc: I've had others post, but not taken this long.

UPDATE: I Just looked at the offer and the small print says you have to order online and pick up. GRRRRR

I'm so sorry for your loss, and I am glad you were able to visit one last time. What a touching memories of the roses and your grandfather's thoughts.

I’m so sorry for your loss. It seems like she was very loved!

I know you are moving soon-ish so not sure if you want to look for somewhere that has locations in both cities, but I have found local banks that have the least amount of fees and frequently have completely free checking accounts. That way I don't have to worry about keeping a balance in it or having to have a transaction to avoid fees. My main bank is a small local bank with a completely free checking account, free ATM access within the network and even gave me a free set of checks. So could maybe find one of those in the short term and just close it when you move. But I'd close the WF regardless if you're sure all the automatic payments have been switched over. I think you'd find it could be several months before you need an actual bank location :) Then in the meanwhile you could search around for a good fit, maybe one with a bonus. I think you said moving back to Charlestown? There's a PNC branch there, which would be good for a bonus on top. Usually in a city where there is a branch there's also ATM's scattered around where you can deposit cash. (Although we could be spoiled because PNC is a PA bank so maybe that's why there's ATMs everywhere)

I'm not sure if the moving is going to work out on the timeline I was planning. It is a sore subject with me and my DH, so I had to drop the topic over the holidays. We will be discussing it again here soon. Good thought though. When we get back to SC, I will open a SC Fed Cred Union account again. Had one for 25 years and closed it after we had been in TN for a couple years. I guess I could open a First Tennessee here in the meantime. Thanks!

Sorry for your loss - it sounds like her last days were beautiful and peaceful. What a gift that is!

I don't even know how you could do that much spend in a short period of time! :O

Well, it's amazing how much spend can actually pop up on you! I've been hesitant about a 3K spend and then finished it in less then a month, but I try to funnel things I have to pay for anyway into larger payments, like the electric bill, insurance, more insurance payments, DVC dues last year - this year I was smarter and used gift cards. If I took my ordinary monthly budget and tried to make that work, it wouldn't happen as my day to day spend is small.

That just made my eyes well up with tears. What a sweet couple. I am so sorry for your loss. I hope the memories make it more bearable. :grouphug:

I don’t have an answer to your question but am hoping to do something similar for DH. He got the CIP in March 2018, CIC in May 2018 and was just approved for SW Biz with a Dec. 24, 2018 application date. I am planning to cancel his CIP when he gets to his anniversary and then have him apply for CIU.
This is my plan as well for me. Have the CIP (Feb), CIC (May) and SW Biz (Dec). I'll close the CIP in Feb and really only waiting until I can think about MSRing. I'll hopefully have a SW personal in January so after that MSR is met and at least 30 days later, I'll go for it.

Your Chase IHG? I don't show any offers on my chase IHG. When I check in the app the only cards that show for rewards is my CSR, and my debit card on my bank account. How do I get my IHG to show?
Are you scrolling in the offer section? Click on the see all offers and then at the top choose your account. I can scroll between my CSR, CF and IHG. Nothing on my Disney card though.
