Has anyone ordered from their Amazon device? I am trying to use the promo code for $10 off a reorder but when I told Alexa to order it she just put it in my Cart and I still had to go on amazon to complete the order. So I am wondering if I did it right and if I did it right, what is the point of telling Alexa to order if I still have to go order it on my computer?
Is buying through Alexa turned on in your account? You can turn it on and off in the Alexa app. I turned mine off to prevent DD5 from ordering herself 50 spare Aurora dolls or something.

Lol I’m sure you will. I’m 99% positive after Japan we will try starting our family. Might need a card for diapers
Churning for cashback is a great strategy for new parents... Imagine if you could get between 5% and 40% back on everything you’re purchasing for a new baby... it doesn’t have to be travel :) I would guesstimate that I’ve generated Tens of Thousands of dollars in cashback during my 4 hardcore years in this game.

AAAAND my wife apparently isn't eligible for this "invitation only" offer...What luck we're having here, lol!

Perhaps since I just added an MR linked account to her Amazon it may work in a few days, I'll try again then I guess. I can only shake my head at my recent streak of deal issues and churning problems, lol.
BOOOOOM - it worked! I'm eligible for the 20% discount with using at least 1 MR point!! Now I need to think about what gift cards it might make sense to buy :) We'll put the spend on our BBP+ to earn 2MR points AND continue to try to lift that popup.

Ok follow up question (gasp yes...I have a question for once :P)...

Can I use AMAZON gift cards at Amazon.com to purchase Kohls Gift cards?

Well I know I can count on you guys to help us out when we get to that point! Diapers are expensive lol

Yes!!! I've been able to buy many third party GC's with Amazon GCs
I could really layer this then...buy Amazon GCs at our grocery store for 12% back in fuel perks with my BBP...So many possibilities! It sounds like I'd need to make sure I still owed a small balance after using the GCs so that I could then use my 1 MR point and put a small balance on the BBP to qualify for the 20%.

This 20% Off with MR points...Is that a one-time use thing?

Nope, you can use it in multiple transactions, up to $100 in total discounts. And, you don’t need to charge even a small balance to the BBP. All it takes is 1 MR :D

This is so enlightening to me...you can tell I don't do Amazon often, lol.

Just to clarify...So if I buy a $100 Kohls card for example...Can I put the 1MR against it and then charge $99.99 to my Amazon GC?

Thanks! I wasn't expecting anyone to have any meaningful odds, but was hoping to hear someone being able to pull it up again after losing it. Doesn't seem like that's likely though. I guess I'll hold off anyway and see, since I'm committed to a $5k msr for the arrival+ already. I'm not confident in meeting $10k. Just having a case of the FOMO again...
I had seen it numerous times before I jumped but I’ve only seen it once on DH’s, last Dec. Although I don’t check his as frequent as I was checking mine.

I just applied for the Rose gold Amex. Denied before they even ran my credit. I got the pop up message saying based on my history of getting bonuses or opening/closing accts I am not eligible for the sign up bonus. I don’t get it. I’ve had 2 Amex cards in my life. The old Jet blue card like 8 years ago and currently have the SPG business card.
Does Amex have a new rule like 5/24 with Chase? Anyone know why Amex hates me?

Wow, sorry, just realizing the link I posted earlier only has a max discount of $60 so I guess that is the same that you used. Ouch. I'm feeling a little guilty about complaining of the $50 I first paid and wasn't all that happy to be paying a reduced price of $30 instead of the $10 I was paying for other meds we tried. I will shut up now. But just FYI we had to up the dose 5 different times before we settled on what he felt was the correct dose. Started at 20mg went up in 10 mg doses until 60 then settled back to 50. At least we only bought the 20mg and the 30mg and after that we just did a combo of pills. Felt wasteful because they are the same price for all doses, so the doses we had to double up "wasted" money. But it was better than buying whole new pills. I had asked for smaller than 30 pills till we got it settled, but not sure if that wasn't possible or she forgot.
Both my ex and I are on high deductible plans so basically pay full price for prescriptions. Thankfully I max out my HSA so that will help. At first I was shocked but I’m over that:)

And we are starting at 10mg so this will be interesting to figure out especially since he switches houses every week.

I am behind so this may have been addressed...
We have used UR for rental cars multiple times and have never had a major problem. I do put a tiny bit of it on my CSR because I thought I read that was a good way to ensure that you would receive travel insurance coverage if you needed it, but I honestly couldn't tell you myself if that is actually true or not. Might not make a different with the CSP or CIP anyway though.

I WILL say though, that we had to return a car a day early because we left VA early to fly west before the most recent hurricane hit. When we returned the car they told me the amount for the day we did not use it for would be refunded since it was a weather issue. I then followed up with Chase and they told me it would take a while but the points would be refunded. Most recently, we have received a message on our phone from someone from the rental agency telling us that they cannot refund it and we need to go through Priceline (rental period was just before they switched over to Expedia), Honestly, it was only the one day's worth of rental so not a lot of points - I just haven't had time to follow it up and quite frankly probably won't.

But it is just something to keep in mind - getting a refund if you need to return it early might be a bit more difficult than normal if it is rented using UR. Would this stop me from using UR to rent a car again? Absolutely not, but just thought it was worth mentioning since you asked.
Thank you! This is good to hear.

Yes, in both cases I was staying at the property, and applied the gift card while I was staying there - and before the last night for sure since it seems hotels like to do express check-out and charge everything on the morning of check-out on the original card used for the reservation.

Speaking of original card used for reservations, you can always give reception a different card to use when you check-in. I happened to catch that I put my SPG Biz card on a recent reservation, and was able to change it to the SPG Lux that I'm still working on MSR for.

Thanks so much! This is exactly what I planned to do and now that I can see it should work I feel better about buying another $600 worth of gift cards.

I would take note though that for one night stays with prepaid or nonrefundable reservations this might not be as easy as your reservation may have already been charged to your card prior to check in. Most charges can be reversed and changed but that will depend on the skill of the desk clerk you are working with, especially on weekends where the less experienced may be working or the individual who audits may work 9-5 mon - fri.

soooo...any word on if one of these 'basic marriott' gc's can be used at swolphin? (as noted earlier I'm having a hard time letting go lol)

Why don't you call them and ask? I doubt if they are accepting them as yet but I would also like to know. I never did get over there on my last trip, but I'll be at Vistana Villages for 4 nights in January and it would be nice to pay up incidentals with a gift card.

Thanks for this mine just showed up too!

When charging the balance to giftcards make sure your AMEX MR card is default or it will keep trying to charge your cc and not use gc balance.
