Stupid ALdi (I lie,I love Aldi):rotfl: When ours reopened from a renovation last month, they sent me a coupon in the mail to use that week, so I used and felt good until some of my friends let me know that they used that coupon, then the cashier gave them a 2nd set to use later!!!!!! I was deeply offended but then I got over it. I think it was just for the reopening

My husbands Chase had a 5% back at Aldis offer. By far, my favorite offer I’ve seen!

check best buys. best buy takes ChasePay.
check Walmart. Walmart takes ChasePay online.
Check amazon. Buy amazon gift cards, then buy gift cards on amazon.
check Sams club. Sam clubs code 5x.
check Costco. Costco codes 5x.
check BJs. BJ codes 5x.
Thanks! Got those covered. Target has their annual 10% off target gift cards on Sunday, so I’m tying to figure out an additional 5% back. Has to be target specific.

Got excited since we have one open nearby now, checked again, nope :( Got Panera for 10% back though, but I'm not even sure where a Panera is so I don't think that's a good consolation prize.

specifically Aldi or in general?
I have it on all my personal chase cards.

Just the offers in general. I keep seeing posts about different offers. I have a freedom and Disney card. I can’t seem to find any offers so I thought maybe they were on for certain cards....

You can only see them in the Chase Mobile app and if you're still not seeing offers then maybe the needs to be updated as it should be rolled out fully by now. You'll see them on the Freedom card but not the Disney. Even if you don't have an offer I would think the Offer section should still show up and just say there isn't anything available right now.

@platamama CR looks awesome. Was it busy at the resort over thanksgiving (like did you get shut out of some activities) and did you email them to upgrade you? Thinking of next thanksgiving or Xmas

I didn't feel it was busy over Thanksgiving, there was plenty of seating available in the restaurants, and the activities staff got us scheduled for every thing we wanted to do. We are a family of three so that probably makes a difference for fitting us in to capacity-controlled activities. Still, the staff were pretty good about, say, opening up a new ziplining activity if another was full, they were surprisingly flexible about that. And if you wanted to repeat certain activities, that's no problem; there was a 7yr old girl who loved horseback riding and went almost every day.

I spoke with lots of people from the US who were there, and one family had come for the 2nd year in a row for Thanksgiving week and said this year was not as crowded as last year FWIW. Every staff member we chatted with all said the busy season was just about to start for them, so I think Christmas would be more crowded...and more expensive.

I had my worries about coming at Thanksgiving since it's at the tail end of rainy season. As things stood, it rained all the way up until 3 days before our arrival, and one day we had an intense thunderstorm in the afternoon that lasted about an hour. But it was right when we had scheduled to go to the scarlet macaw conservation center and that activity was canceled. We saw those beautiful birds numerous times through the property (they really like the almond trees down at the beach) so that made me feel better that I didn't miss out on seeing them. The grounds were green and lush (due to the rainy season) and it gets drier and dustier until May/June. We missed the arribada season (when sea turtles come in groups to lay eggs on the beach)...BUT saw baby turtle hatchlings come out of their clutches and make their way down to the ocean and that was super awesome! (This cost $49 per person extra) The night we went we probably saw about 5-6 different hatchings all taking place. If you can go during the day I think that would be better because it's easier to see them.

I didn't email them to upgrade me. I was Gold this year through multiple approaches (1. AMEX Plat, 2.SPG Lux, 3. combined Marriott and SPG credit card elite nights + rollover nights), so I didn't expect to get an upgrade since I assumed I would have to be Platinum or higher. Ironically, I became Platinum on the 7th night of my 7 nt certificate. I've only paid for 4 actual nights this year! This will never happen again; the merger and now-discontinued rollover nights made it possible this one year for me.

The luggage story was me....we had a tile in our luggage...2 suitcases hadn’t been delivered by Magical Express with the others. I could see they were at the boardwalk looking at the app in our room.
When to bell services...they looked something up on the computer and told me they were still at the airport. The tile app was now showing the suitcases within range...so I nicely told them they were in the luggage storage room. A few minutes of looking and they brought them out to me

This is a great story. Annoying at the time I’m sure. But a great story.

I need to catch up on this afternoon's posts but wanted to make sure I'm giving good advice to my mom/stepdad. They want to try for the SW CP for 2019-2020 and I want to make sure I have my facts straight! I think he should do the following, please let me know if I'm missing anything!

Apply for SW Biz for 60k points with $3k MSR, $99 fee (no support links for this, correct)?

Apply for SW Plus with in-flight offer using the link (is this still working? Does anyone have the link handy? I'd be very grateful.) This is for 50k points with $3k or $2k spend?
If the in-flight offer isn't available, I could refer him to either the Plus or Premier for 40k points and then he'd need to earn additional points to qualify for the CP.

Is there a recommended time he should wait to apply for the personal card after the biz card? I'm not sure of his 5/24 status so I definitely think he should go for the biz first.

On both cards he should make sure not to get close to meeting the spend until after his Dec stmt closes, or even safer until Jan. Anything I'm forgetting or missing? Thank you!

I applied for the biz on 8/30 and personal 10/3 without issue.

Ah thank you!!! I just needed to update the app. I have 26 offers showing! Thanks!

Disneyland Hotel Jan-May 2019 FYI: DLH partial pool closures through May 2019. Guests are being offered access to the PPH slide.
1/7/19-Mar 2019 everything except the e-ticket pool will be closed (this includes slides and spas)
Mar-early May 2019 monorail pool and slides closed

Losing spa access is a killer for my fam and I know that the monorail pool is a huge feature for those with kids :( More discussion here https://www.disboards.com/threads/disneyland-hotel-pool-unavailable.3722215/#post-60001381

Sad. But it’ll likely be a bit too chilly between January and March to enjoy the pools and slides anyway. We were there last week when the temperature was mostly in the high 60s, and we were cold in and around the pools! My daughter’s favorite pool? The hot tub!

But my kiddo also loves those monorail slides! Last year, at 4, she tried the yellow (mid-level) slide and was too scared to try again, and stuck to the baby slides the rest of the trip. This year, at 5, she went down the baby slide only twice. Feeling unsatisfied, she wanted to try the yellow slide. After about 15 minutes of fun there, and seeing all the “big kids” going on the red (highest) slide, she wanted to try that one. There was no going back for my little adventurer.

Apparently I used a Chase offer for Starbucks! I knew I added it to a few cards, but couldn't remember which ones. How are people keeping track of this? I only had the Freedom with me, besides the CIC I am meeting MSR on so I tried it. I actually thought after I tried it that it would not work because it was at DDs school in the student union area and I thought I read it had to be a stand alone store so I didn't think it would work. I don't see a credit on my account but when I went to offers just now it said I had redeemed $1.20. Woohoo lol I guess it is better than nothing.

This is awesome! Thank you! For 35K a night and all those activities it seems like a steal! Plus my DD9 is horse obsessed so it’d be right up her ally. Thanks again I may bug you for more tips if we book it!!!

It's been a few years since I tried to book at DL on property hotel. Any suggestions for getting it at a discount? (other than gift cards?) I've always had better luck getting something at WDW but have trouble at DL.

My son is on it too. Go to the manufacturer website. There is a coupon that takes my cost down to $230 from $290.

Just curious where you get it filled. I’m wondering if Costco will take the coupon or if I should transfer it to target and pay with gift cards.

Wow, sorry, just realizing the link I posted earlier only has a max discount of $60 so I guess that is the same that you used. Ouch. I'm feeling a little guilty about complaining of the $50 I first paid and wasn't all that happy to be paying a reduced price of $30 instead of the $10 I was paying for other meds we tried. I will shut up now. But just FYI we had to up the dose 5 different times before we settled on what he felt was the correct dose. Started at 20mg went up in 10 mg doses until 60 then settled back to 50. At least we only bought the 20mg and the 30mg and after that we just did a combo of pills. Felt wasteful because they are the same price for all doses, so the doses we had to double up "wasted" money. But it was better than buying whole new pills. I had asked for smaller than 30 pills till we got it settled, but not sure if that wasn't possible or she forgot.

This is the link I used for it, from Doctor of Credit, a couple of weeks ago.

Hope it’s still working!
