Thanks for the heads up about the good AmEx offers! I always mean to check them more regularly but forget so I appreciate when people call them out on here.

A couple questions:

1) I got Delta $60 off $300. Does anyone know if this will work on a Delta gift card?

2) Can you still use Sam’s Club gift cards to buy other gift cards? I got the $5 off of $15 at samsclub .com on a few different cards, so I was thinking I’d buy $15 Sam’s Club GCs in separate orders and then combine those towards a larger purchase.

I also got Best Buy, Uber, and eBags.

DoC says it works on gift cards.

Yes, u can use gift cards to purchase gift cards at Sams Club... I'm told it works at Walmart as well too.

And to piggyback on that question, if it can be used on gift cards, does anyone know if there is a limit to how many Delta gift cards you can use at once?

The Delta offer is on my no-fee Blue Cash card, believe it or not. My wife has it on her AU card as well. I don't know how many Delta gift cards can be used at once though, so hopefully someone else can chime in on that.

I ended up using the Sam's Club offers to buy movie tickets. The AMC Black tickets for NY/NJ/CA were one of the 1-Day specials today; it was $19.48 for two tickets, so with the $5 back it works out to $7.24/ticket. Plus 3% back from eBates. I'll use them to take the kids to see Wreck-It-Ralph 2 later this month.

Of course my purchases from this morning didn't track AGAIN so I made yet another support ticket request. Very aggravating. I think I'm the only one here having this issue.

I have trouble with Dosh crediting. I just spent 2.5 weeks getting a Sam's purchase (and Mama Fu's) credited and month getting one credited for dh. They just were not replying to tickets, I had to keep nudging the ticket. Exxon credits immediately though.

You can make separate purchases...the other day I did my normal shopping and got cash back for that, and then immediately after bought a few drinks at the cafe part and got cash back for that also. I did also try to then get gas just to test it out, but did NOT get cash back for the gas purchase (I wasn’t expecting to, thought I’d test it just in case!)

Dosh hates me I swear. Three different stores/restaurants, none of them tracked. Back to opening up support tickets and fighting for my cash. Yes, I'm cheap enough to battle over $1.50.

The positive is I finally remembered to start using my Hilton Amex, so the spend today went toward hitting my special Hilton points offer. And yes, I added that card to Dosh (and RMN!) first.

You can use the chat feature. I did it when a Starbucks purchase didn’t post but for some reason that location was not included so I didn’t get my $.50 credit

I had the Sams offer on 4 cards, so I bought a $40 gift card with 2 cards and received Amex credit for both of them. Planning to use the GC plus my other 2 cards to get a Disney GC. Right now I am in limbo with the GC. I didn't realize you get an email with the link to activate. I called CS two days ago to activate and they told it would take an hour, then called yesterday and they said it would take 24 hours. It still isn't activated. Make sure you find the email and use that link!

@elgerber and @Ava You can use 3 Delta GCs at a time online. I know someone called in and was able to use more, but I remember they said it was a pain. If I have several to use, I end up buying one way tickets. Just make sure if you buy the tickets individually, that you call to link them afterwards. We had a situation where I didn't link the tickets and they put my DH on a different flight when there was a delay since he has status and the rest of us stayed on the delayed flight.

That’s on the other side of 4 so not walkable....my son lives downtown a block off lake Eola we had never ventured out of the Disney bubble until he moved there two years ago.....it’s a nice downtown area...lots of restaurants with outdoor seating...one bar...with a Christmas theme and it snows 365 days a year .....If you have any questions just let me know

We stayed at the Aloft right across from the Dr Phillips center. We walked around the downtown area and ate a one of the restaurants. There was a basketball game getting out and people were definitely walking from it. Maybe there is a pedestrian bridge over I4? Not sure, but definitely tons of people coming from the game.

I had the offer on 4 cards. Sam's online allows you to split payment between 2 cards, so this is what I did -

order #1 - bought $10 Sam's gc + $20 Sam's gc and charged $15 to my cc and $15 to DH's cc
order #2 - Same but charged to DS's cc and DD's cc

Note that before trying to use Sam's gift cards bought online, you have to click through the activation email they send. There has been an ongoing glitch with this process, but it seems they have fixed it. I had no issues this time.

About a year ago, I had issues using a Delta gc when there were multiple people on a reservation. When I called, the reservations agent said I could only pay with a gc on ONE reservation, so I would need to separate my reservation from the others if I wanted to use the gc.

Additionally, a Delta gc can't be used to pay for the fees on an award flight. Also, I don't think you can use it for food in flight. Delta makes it very difficult imo to use these things!

It was a year ago when I was researching. Maybe things have changed for the better.

Well no luck getting Hamilton tickets for Puerto Rico. They sold out before ever getting out of the virtual queue. Stub Hub seems to have opted out of selling tickets for those shows too. I will still seek out other avenues that may present themselves. Not giving up so easily. If anyone knows someone who did get tickets and planned to sell them on Stubhub because they weren’t actually planning to go, feel free to PM me.​

In other news, I did the the last Saturday morning wine and cheese tasting at Epcot. Much to my surprise, the wine host was Johannes Selbach. I don’t know much about wines other than Selbach Oster Reisling is my favorite wine. So I geeked out and now have a signed bottle.

As relates to this thread, my MR points for the Rose Gold card posted, as did 2 of the 4 AU Plat cards. Yay! Two more AU Plat card spends to go. I may go for the upgrade offer on my ED card after that unless something with a better bonus presents itself. I am finding myself in the rare position of not knowing what card(s) to go for next. With 10 Chase cards and being /24 naturally anything Chase is out. I am currently maxed on number of Amex credit cards but willing to cancel the ED for a better than 20k upgrade offer for another card. Not sure what I’d want though. We’ve got more than enough points and miles (over 4 million) to cover any trips we’d want to do. However even that would be an unlikely scenario. We need to build back up the PTO time and vacation budget coming off of China ABD, Antarctica with Nat Geo/Linblad and Japan ABD all within 18 months. We plan to be on the next 3 DCL maiden voyages so we are not planning anything long or crazy. It will be WDW, DLR and Aulani for the next couple of years. We may wind up up with double the points and miles we currently have by the Tim e we are ready to use them. So with that in mind WWYD? Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

I think most of us are in awe of you and your travels with the plane princess. I hesitate to suggest anything!

I am sure something will present itself. I guess work on your PTO and eventual retirement goals for now.

Personally I just keep waffling right now over whether or not to go for one of the Plats while it is a good time to triple dip the airline credit. For you that is baby churner stuff.

They may have been walking under 4....since it’s raised going through downtown....
