I love credit cards so much!

I appreciate the sentiment but sometimes a quick 40% cash discount ain't bad either :) (referral offer of $200 stmt credit on $500 in spend)
We'll be churning hubby's at some point to get that. Can't seem to pull the trigger on mine for sentimental reasons - I've had it for over a decade. His is newer and he doesn't care

40% is great! I think I don't tend to think in terms of bonus/MSR percentage, but rather is this bonus worth a hard pull. I'm pretty new at this though, so I haven't had a lot of hard pulls until now. Maybe it's a mental hump I need to get over, lol.

I just applied and was approved for the Amex Rose Gold Card! Even more exciting is the fact that I DIDN"T GET THE POPUP!!!! I've been getting the popup since August and have since been putting spend on all my Amex cards. Glad to know I'm not on the naughty list anymore!

Applied for the CIU yesterday and was approved today. Was not expecting it to be that fast. Yay, less time spent obsessively checking, lol. SM'd for expedited delivery and got a response an hour later. Thinking about doing PNC for part of the MSR (any issues with that?).

Met the MSR on CIP yesterday, now just to wait for it to post and for the statement to close in a couple weeks.

We have an upcoming trip to Universal Hollywood and Legoland. For dining in the parks, should I use my CSR and hope it codes as dining or use Citi Premier for 2x entertainment?

Another round of approvals, and the day’s still early! Congratulations, @schmass and @wanderlust7!

Congrats on the CIU!!

Last year in June, my CSR did not code as dining at Universal Hollywood. I was disappointed. That said, it's possible that the coding has changed in the last 17 months.

The other card we used on that trip was the BoA Travel Rewards card, and that coded everything in Universal Hollywood as a travel expense. :confused3

I have an offer for a BoA checking account bonus of $100. If I do this one, am I more or less likely to ever get one of the better bonuses? I keep hearing of a $300 BoA bonus but they don't seem to like me enough for that. Seems like after 6 months of closing the account I may be eligible again for a bonus, assuming they don't change terms in the future. So what's everyone's verdict on that? Would you do it for $100? Or not worth getting out of bed for :p

I finally got a tiny DVC contract! I've been trying to secure 25 points at AKL for months now - I want to be able to transfer in and control my own reservations. I was just never quick enough. I also want to get in on early offers on Riveria (if the price isn't too insane).
I'm pumped. Got the UY I wanted, too. Cost more than I wanted to spend but I decided I had to make concessions. That's our big Christmas present this year! pixiedust:

I'd probably do it, if only because it makes getting their cards easier too. But make sure you have a legit DD, or one of the (very few) accounts that qualify. BoA is quite a bit stingier.

Yeah we have had that one for years and years, too. I don't think we will get rid of it any time soon, just in case there is a decent Disney discount.

We're not at that point yet. I think the most inquiries I have on any one CR is 4 now and they're spaced out for the most part (last round was 2 in one day, moving into the minor leagues now ) so I'm not thinking much about it for now. Just strategizing the best bang for the buck for a goal. Plus I have P2 to alternate with so we each get cooling off periods, so that helps. Some card issuers don't seem to even care based on the crazy I see happening on r/churning. :p

Plane Princess and I do not have the CIP. We both have the old Ink Plus. I like that one better than the CIP so it’s all good.

yeah, i still have the CI+ as well... was kinda funny that the card is so close to the BBP on my list.
Chase Ink Business Plus Card
Amex Blue Business Plus Card

throws me off now... lol.

Is Dosh an app like RMN? Anything I should be aware of before checking it out?
It is an app, and you can support to it also. There's some support links on reddit. I supported DH in getting the app too ;)

All you do is add your cards to it, and it should pick up automatically. No need to link offers or anything like that. Have you signed up for RR dining yet? They usually have a thing to get bonus points if you are a new member and dine 3 times within the first 30 days, so make sure to look for that.

Yeah that's the next step I'm looking into. I have a legit DD to get the bonus for now but as anything can change I have to look up what might count to keep it fee free for a while. Aside from it being helpful with cards, if there any downside to closing the account after suitable period post bonus? Does BoA hold a grudge? :teeth:

I think there are better bank bonuses. Chase checking was super easy and $300. Discover was a breeze also and I think $200

Oh there are, but BoA for the most part you need to be targeted it seems. Since I got targeted for one, trying to figure out if it's worth doing. If taking it decreases my odds of getting one of their better bonuses, then I'll let it go. If not taking it decreases my odds of getting targeted for anything ever again, then a pittance seems better than nothing :)

We both did Discover already and hubby did the Chase earlier this year. For Chase that's easy to trigger without a legit DD (for now at least) so I can do that a little later. BoA is a little harder so while I have a legit DD I'm trying to make the most of it. I've got a couple others I have my eye on and just trying to work out timing, and if BoA is worth throwing into that mix now.

And such is the story of my life, BoA heavily targeted me for... the public offer, sigh :sad2:
It was the first time it was plastered all over my account - the special deals section, special call out link on one of my credit card lines, the 'wait before you go, open a checking account!' page when I signed out. Turns out I'm not so special after all. That probably makes this an easier decision  Unless someone has evidence taking any targeted offer helps with other BoA things I may hang back then and see how it goes. I'm not in too much of a rush to get more in bed with BoA yet. (unless they'll magically approve my Alaska Biz app without me handing over all kinds of docs that don't exist for my "business" :p)

Check the fine print because it can change any time, but for both P2 and I, I closed the accounts immediately after receiving (and withdrawing) the bonus. We both got the $300 targeted bonus.

If it were me, I'd do the $100 bonus if there were any BoA cards I wanted, and to get the 6 month clock started for getting another BoA bonus. There's nothing saying you'll ever be targeted for the $300, and $100 is still $100.

Are RR the SW points? If so, no since we don't have any points with them. If it's something else, can you please tell me what it is?
