I was looking into the chase pay thing at ATL since I leave tomorrow night and found more info on Chase's site. It's only for chase pay through samsung pay, ypu have to be able to tap. I really wish they would do something to improve their pay system.

I did get an email to use chase pay at participating retailers between now and the end of the year. 5 times with a min purchase of 25 and get an extra 1500 ur. Guess I'll be buying some dis gc at best buy

I did it guys! All my points have posted for my crazy MS run of 32.5k in three months. My haul was 50,000 AA miles plus the match up to 70,000? I forgot lol. And I got 360,000 MR points. Two Biz Gold at 55,000 (including spend), Two Biz Plats at 110,000. Plus two 15,000 points for referring to the Biz gold.

What to go for next? I have the Southwest Biz on the way which I’m not touching until January. And I have two Blue Business to work on. I tried to get SO the Citi AA Biz but he got denied? What else should I go for lol. I’m thinking of trying to find a Citi AA Biz mailer for myself.

Wow...Congrats....I don’t remember if your under 5/24 and looking at Chase cards or going after Amex etc cards

Well our wdw trip is officially over. We went three times this year and I’m sad to say Dh and I both agreed we might need a long break from wdw. Very crowded and people were extremely rude. We were stressed for most of the trip instead of being relaxed. We both said today we can’t wait to actually get home and relax. We are looking into Phoenix as our next trip before Japan.

This is what DH and I said after our trip to Disneyland last week. Our favorite day was the one at home adjusting to the time change and relaxing at home before returning to work. On the way there we had a layover in Phoenix and decided that's the next place we want to visit. DH was born in the area and lived there twice growing up but hasn't been back since he was a kid.

My last approval was December in 2017. I have been trying to get the CIC have tried four times now and keep getting denied. I may just try for the Southwest Business card but I may just need to move on.
Wow what is the reason for the denials....since you’ve way more experience than me...I’m sure you’ve reduced credit limits etc..
If you can use the CP..I’d definitely get the SW business and a personal for it...

Anyone ever file a cell phone damage claim with CIP? If so, is there an online claims process like the eclaimsline.com ?

This is something DH and I discuss all the time. Not just at Disney, but anywhere we go. Nobody has any spatial awareness or concept of other people being around them anymore. It amazes me how people will just come to a dead stop in the middle of a sidewalk to look at their phone or something else without checking to see if anyone is around them. It's really not that hard to move off to the side of the walkway. I had a girl get mad at me when we flew home from OK in August because she was standing right in the center of the moving walkway so I walked right up behind her and said "excuse me" to get her to move. I was cutting it close to my connection and needed to hustle across Detroit. She was yelling things at me as I walked away! I turned around and told her some of us had a plane to catch.

Oh let me tell you, ever since we moved to Washington DC, I've lost my patience with that stuff. I tell people coming at me from the opposite direction "Hey! Eyes up!" to keep them from running into me. Or, if I notice we're going to collide because they're not paying attention, I've stopped altering my path. I just run into them, and yell "Pay attention!" I like to think I'm changing the world, one clueless phone user at a time.

But probably not.

So I took the upgrade on the SPG Card for 50,000 points after one purchase. Any idea how long it takes for those points to show up?

At high school orientation DD's principal told the parents that his favorite thing was to stand in the hallway between classes in the path of students who are looking at their phones and not paying attention to where they are going. He lets them bump into him, and says the look on their faces when they see who they've run into is absolutely priceless .

Pretty much our same feelings too... We went for Christmas, Summer (Early June) and two weeks ago... I think this last trip was about as busy as Christmas. Its a small world was a 65min wait!!! The Halloween party (Not sold out) was so much more crowed than the sold out Christmas party we attended. Slinky dog went down four hours before our FP, about two hours before our FP I was talking to one of the CM and he said they just got the parts here and he didn't know how long it would be... It never did reopen that day. It was a decent trip, but I agree we wont be back for awhile, and the Chase/Disney stuff pretty much sealed that deal. :rotfl2:

Wow, that's a sweet upgrade offer. I had that one on my Marriott card, made my one purchase, and haven't seen any points yet but my statement doesn't close until Nov. 17.

I also took the SPG Lux upgrade offer for 100K points for $5K spend. I'm still working on that one; I would have taken yours in a heartbeat.

I agree. The money grabs I keep seeing are helping me break away. The new one this week that made me roll my eyes is the premium parade/fireworks party that they are offering during the premium extra expensive MVMCP. Apparently this exclusive event is being sold to so many people that they are now asking for another premium ticket on top of the party price just so people can get a decent view.
yes and the kid price is $99!?!?!? AND it is for the SECOND parade! What in the world!? The most crazy part is that people are doing this IN ADDITION TO a fireworks party. Can you imagine?

Too much available credit and business is too new. I reduced limits twice now. The second time all my personal cards are now at like 2k each. Way below 50% of household income. The most recent application gave me the two week notice so I thought I was approved then it changed to 7-10 days. I got the two personal Southwest card last year so I can’t get those again but SO is going for the companion pass. I could always use an extra 60,000 points tho.

Omg we had so many issues with this on our trip. People constantly stopped in the middle of the walkway to look at something. It’s a good thing we were paying attention or we would’ve ran right into them. We waited 2 hours for a fireworks spot (longer than I’ve ever waited but it was packed) and people kept coming in to find a spot like 10 minutes before fireworks. We were packed in there so tight. I just kept saying, “There isn’t any room up there. We’ve been waiting here for 2 hours to have this spot.” There were people with double strollers running right into people trying to get a spot. They didn’t care if they were running into a kid or not.

I’m probably in the minority here but I’d rather stay at Pop than the Swan/Dolphin. I use the magical express. Also, the Swan/Dolphin costs so many Marriott points now I feel like I could get a better value using those points somewhere else. But since you have friends staying at the Boardwalk it may make more sense for you to stay in that area.
Alternatively, look for swan/dolphin as a Priceline express deal and cash out URs? It seems to always be on there.

I have a friend on here that just went to Disneyland and she said she will be taking a break, too. She said it was too hot and crowded for her. We are hoping to go to Phoenix in December-February but I don’t want to leave snow for more snow lol
