Bless your heart! I :lovestrucLittle House books...I really wanted to spend the night in a covered wagon (in South Dakota https://www.ingallshomestead.com/camping/ ) but no one in my family would come with me. Highly recommend them, especially IIRC you're a Nebraska native.

Me too! My mom is not much of a reader and this was the only books she ever read to me (read them all the way through!). It was such a special memory to me that I read them to my girls when they were younger. They dressed up like 'prairie girls' all the time with bonnets and everything. We had little House cookbooks and craft books. I didn't really think my boys would enjoy the books but surprisingly, they love them too. So, I'll be reading to the boys and if my dd18 is home and knows I'm reading, she'll wander in and lay on the floor to listen too :)

Yes, download the app and activate the offers from there. You also need to link a CC to the RMN account and pay with that card. Make sure card is linked and offer is activated. Little bit YMMV but usually works!
Ahh now I remember why I don’t use this app anymore. Need a paypal acct.

Hunger Game series? Not new but might be interesting for him!

ETA I see I am exceptionally late to this discussion - sorry!

Of course, now that he is home and I can ask, he would like to read The Hunger Games. Thank you for discounted Amazon GCs :)
hehe, book movies are quite a thing imo... Maze Runner?
what about Lord of the Rings?

I had actually at Maze Runner and it didn’t get very good reviews. Although you didn’t remind me that I have the Lord of the Rings and Hobbit books he could read.

My older son loved the Redwall series when he was that age.

Thanks. I looked at these. He tends to prefer human or dragon books though.

For now, he is going to read The Wright 3 by Blue Balliett. It was on the summer reading list for the private school he’ll be attending next year.

I can truly say I have a hard time imagining that! I think I've only been cold when running, maybe twice? Here, for about 8 or 9 months of the year it's pretty much running in a sauna :sad1:

My 12.5 mile run a few weeks ago the temp was 47 to 49 I think. I know it hasn't hit 50 when I was done. In the winter it's earmuffs and gloves or the treadmill if it's not too long. The gym caps it at an hour so I have to split into 3 or 4 mile runs to put it all together. But it's warm and dry there so sometimes I don't mind.

What about taking it wayyyy back...Hardy Boys, Nancy Drew, Boxcar Children?? Those were my first foray into chapter books and I was obsessed as a kid! He's probably too old for those but they were so fun!

I am a PUTZ tonight, lol.

I got a Raise promo code in my email and for once there was actually Walmart gift cards available. I was so excited...I pulled together $100 in cards...and I forgot to enter the promo code. GAH - I HATE making mistakes like this, lol. So I bought $100 more in Walmart and instead of saving ~11% on $100 I saved ~6% on $200. I know I shouldn't really care, but I'll be kicking myself all night for it, haha!

I'm loving all the book chatter today. Most of what I would have suggested has already been posted, but wow you have some great books to read now!

I transferred all my points from CIC, CFU, and CF to my CSP. When I get a CSR, am I able to transfer them from CSP to CSR? Please let it be a yes.

My DH is insisting that he read that to combine his CIP with the CSR and CSP he would have to go into a Chase office and do that in person. This is based on stuff he's reading online. I'm telling him I doubt it but I could be wrong... Can someone please tell me how to do this?
