I love credit cards so much!

Chase you are freaking killing me!!!

Well I was dreading the AF’s hitting on both mine and DH’s CSR’s (so upset almost wrote his name) but if this is true or even partially true I won’t be keeping both. I will just downgrade to a FU and call it good. I wouldn’t even want to do the CSP as without Disney redemptions the UR’s have considerably less value for me. Why pay any fee? I am going to get on first though and make appointment for my oldest to do the global entry. We might as well use the credit!

Agree with @striker1064 about Barclays ArrivalPlus. I had it years ago and really liked it...was one of first cards when I was first getting into this. When you redeem on travel you get a percentage of points back (works on Disney). MasterCard so easy with mortgages and Plastiq.

Argh. Seriously. I got on here tonight after not since early afternoon and was like why so many posts on a Saturday?!? So bad.

I was coming here to say my CSP from the DD was closed today. :( I am at $3900 in spend on my CSR and was about to start pulling out the CSP for spend. No phone call, email, etc. I just signed into my online account and it shows account closed.

After signing into the DIS I saw the high number of new pages and figured I better skim through to see what was happening. Ugh, more bad news. I admit I read through pretty quick so I'm sure I missed a lot. I just booked a cruise with NCL this morning with the intention of transferring to Chase in the next couple weeks. Is this no longer possible, or is it just Disney that has been kicked to the curb?

ETA: On a positive note my CSR remains intact with the insanely high CL.

Oh man that stinks! So far we still have both, they lowered the CSP limit to $1000 but I was able to SM and get a bunch transferred back from his SW card. I feel like I am waiting for the other shoe to drop. We have some flights to the Caribbean in June I was hoping to use the URs for if we get them.

I feel bad for everyone who had been planning to use their points for Disney also. All these changes are a shocker. I have had my own CSP for almost 4 years and have always just transferred them to my SW RR account because they were worth about 1.6 per point, never tried any other type of redemption.

Regarding my bolded previous advice...

1) Get A CIP still works
2) Refer to CIP still works
3) Double Dip is dead - So get a CSR OR a CSP but not both
4) Refer to Double dip is dead - can only refer to the card you got above

So getting those 4 cards instead of 6, you end up with about 310k URs vs. 430k URs. AND if you were attempting to redeem for Disney the 1.5x kicker may be out the window. In summary - my previous plan that could earn $6,500 could now be worth as little as $3,100 (maybe $4,600 if we can find a way to still get hte 1.5x).
Luckily I am not trying to put a Disney trip together at this time, but I am super bummed for all the folks who had planned to use their URs for Disney trips. Hopefully this all settles down and a work around can be found.

As for the value of the Chase bonuses dropping from $6500 to as low as $3100, I'm not one to cry over what I never had. I'm new to the points game, and I missed the boat on some good deals. But a $4,600 discount due to points is still way better than paying full price!!! I really appreciate all the time you knowledgeable folks put in to explaining things to us newbies.

Also - I knew he was an idiot and troll but tried to give him the benefit of the doubt (since I'm nice, lol). But if you look at his comment history he just trolls everywhere.

Both the CIP and CFU travel portals are down at the moment. Anyone else experiencing this? I *think* I was able to pull up Port Orleans - Riverside on the CIP portal earlier today, wanted to check again. Maybe they're loading the travel portal with all the Disney resorts? (I can dream right?! :'( )

EDIT at 10:48 pm central time: "Ultimate Rewards® is temporarily unavailable while we make improvements. Thanks for your patience. Please check back later."

C'mon Chase! You know what improvements we want you to make!
