I love credit cards so much!

I'll have a friend look into expert flyers tonight.

edit: if u have preferred dates, it would help isolate the time frame
Thank you. I’d prefer to travel May 12 and leave 2 weeks later but I’ll take anything we can get at this point.

Ha - priorities!

My son asked if he could bring some friends home from college with him tomorrow since the school is closing, and of course I said that was fine. Not sure how many 21 year old boys I will have in the house. I sure do hope we keep power. Also thinking I need to go back to the grocery store . . .

need more pillows @pillow
21 year olds like pillow forts.

pillows @pillow pillows @pillow

Please remind me - I had the old Hilton Surpass. That means I'm ineligible for the $95 AF Ascend card, right?

Made me laugh. The day after I got married, my best friend called our hotel and asked for the Pillows in room 501. Still makes her laugh.

And actually I do need more pillows!! Gonna go text DS right now and tell him to have his friends bring their pillows. Lol.

Too funny! (And good for you sticking with what works.) Just so you aren't left totally in the dark, ANA stands for All Nippon Airways.... And in case you decide to venture into international travel, lots of us can repay the favors you've given us through your churning advice :)
Haha thanks!! It’s possible I’d consider another airline if we do Hawaii sometime (for a 1st class experience) otherwise it’ll be SW for the foreseeable future. We have enough points to support 4-5 years of travel for the family (and that assumed we don’t earn another point).

I just like that people don’t judge me for not wanting to go on that dream trip to Thailand!

All this talk of flights on ANA (which I don't even know what ANA is, LOL!), United, Virgin even has me stressed. :teacher:o_O:headache: :faint: And then you guys start throwing out terms like saver awards and ExpertFlyer and other stuff...:confused3:confused::eek:

I'll just stick with my old pal Southwest and my domestic travel :) LOL! I consider myself to be EXPERT level on many things churning. I will full out admit that I have no clue how to fly with anybody other than Southwest...and no desire to learn :) :thumbsup2

You know, for years I thought JAL (Japan Airlines) was the premier Japanese airline; but one of my wife's colleagues who is Japanese told her that ANA is considered the higher quality airline. :confused3 Which is fine by me, because ANA is part of the Star Alliance and transfer partners with a lot more points programs.

Super great offers, but Amex is making it hard. Like I want to sign up for these every time they go up, but Amex is known for not matching offers, and what if next week they go up again another 25k, you know?

Exactly! They went so long from initial offering until they started upping it I almost jumped then and I'm glad now I didn't since we're not in a rush. We did get the Biz for hubby a week before they changed the dummy booking to this higher amount of points, but I'm still ok with that. We got the AF waived and the timing was perfect so while the 25k extra points is a better offer, it worked for us so I'm not regretting it. However, how much higher can a no fee with only 1k spend go? (even if it is Hilton points) Would they go 150k with 2k spend for no fee? At some point I'd think they'd cut into their other card sign ups if it gets too high. But you hate to be proven wrong with Amex's lifetime language.

You’re killing me with your kindness, Amex!

Hilton Honors points are super easy to pool. Hilton members can transfer a maximum of 500,000 points per calendar year, and receive up to 2 million points a year, no fee.

Aw, that's not helping. So I could get all 4 cards and, with the current offer amounts, transfers all the bonuses into hubby's account in one go? That's crazy. (crazy good)

With Chase, to combine household points do you just need to share an address? It's not just f

I've always thought ANA was but I also didn't know until recently that JAL was even an airline. They must not advertise in Seattle which is odd. We've been hit hard lately with Hainan Airline which I also hadn't heard of until their commercials. We're also getting a lot of Jerusalem Tel Aviv commercials the past week +. I guess their tourism board thinks we're a good market half way around the world :confused3

did u know that El Al is the only airline that equips its planes with countermeasures? Thought that was interesting...

OMG you are describing me exactly! My daughter spent the summer figuring out how to do the lie flat seats to Spain and using Avios and all this award stuff, etc. She made it work in a fairly short time. It included signing everybody up, pooling points and collecting them and actually booking flights to get more of these Avios. And she would describe all this activity and I was polite and listening but less than interested because I had no desire to do this! I keep a good old SW account to keep points available as gifts for family and I don't fly (but will if I have to).

Met the $5k on the Lux...have the bonus points posted a few days after the purchase(s) post?

You will be telling us! But, I expect the bonus will post within a day or two. I figure I'll finish spend in the next week or two as I'm doing it completely organically.

I want to fly ANA when we go to Tokyo in 2020, but I guess I need to start accruing more SPG points to transfer since I don't have any United miles and will not risk going for a United card with Chase. I do plan to churn Citi AA cards though so I guess I would have enough to fly JAL. It's just not as convenient as I'd have to position to get to JFK, where as ANA flies out of IAD.

Hi all. I tried doing a search before asking and couldn't find an answer. I'm not as brilliant as some of you are with the whole credit card game so I don't keep up much. Anyway, I got the 50,000 point upgrade offer for the Marriott card. I decided to do it using the link in (one of dozens) the email I got.

Fast forward and it was only 10,000 points added to my account. I would not have upgraded for 10,000 points. I sent a secure message and the response was sorry you were confused but it was just 10,000 points. I never even received ONE offer for 10k. Even a letter sent in snail mail was for 50k. Any experience with getting this fixed?
